How much money does Hip Hop and Rock and Roll bring in? Using the same arguement, how much of a mess (drugs, alcohol, stds) have been associated with this culture? How many Rock and Roll stars have died from Alcohol and Drug related causes? If you would to search every car involved in a drive by shooting, what percentage would be listening to rap music? Why wouldn't these industries be subject to the same selective taxation? "They're making all that money... they can hack it," was the reasoning I heard a CNN commentator make. LET'S DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!!!!! Personally I disagree with the premise that somehow the government isn't confiscating enough money.
