gay pride event in tracy city

I would like to invite everyone to Tracy City on the weekend of June 20, 21, and 22. We will be having a gay pride parade on all three days, and on friday night we'll have the grand opening of "Demonica's Gay Bar and Cabaret" There will be music, dancing, booths, and food at the festival. All the local gay/lesbian commnunities are expecting nearly 3,000 homosexuals to attend the festival here in Tracy City. We will see you there.

Grundy County doesn't need a gay bar anymore than they need a vampire

Our event has already been registered with the civil liberties union. Therefore it will go on as planned. And by the way, when you say "fruits and nuts" what you really mean, is people that aren't exactly like you. And I might add, that before the event was planned, the ACLU did a poll and found that over 40% of Grundy County citizens are homosexual. If that study had not been done, we would not have picked your town for the festival!

The bible said God made Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve. There is enough sin in this world. Please don't say God made us this way. He don't make mistakes.

Why? I am not making the threat but do these people know how much danger they are putting theirselves in? That is SUICIDE-Grundy County! To do that, r u so attention deprived you have to open a bar and make it a gay one? U don't see people that are straight publicly announcing thier preference. Sex is special and fun and PRIVATE. I agree GOD did not make people that way, it is unatural, that's why gays can't make babies. I am not a hater, but I don't want to hear and know what people r doing in their bedroom gays will never truly be happy and it has nothing to do with a majority of society accepting it. It is a moral issue. Even if gay marriage was allowed they would have the highest rate of divorce, most would not marry anyway because their is also a deep reality of commitment issues. You dont see all the gays couples rushing to the areas that r supportive of marriage. I hope someone burns the bar down but noone is there or gets hurt but I am sure you would just LoVE to collect off the insurance because u know what Gundy county is like. It already sounds like an insurance scheme to me.

You are all the same, you take parts of the bible that you want to believe in out of hate, and you forget about the parts that pertain to you. Like, the bible condemns glutony, but Grundy County has some of the fattest people i have ever seen. And the bible condemns killing, but i hear of murder there all the time. And also, you are saying that you want the club to be burned,... you are judging when God condemns judging. The way I see it, homosexuals will enter heaven before any one of you will!

I am curious as to why gays and lesbians feel like they have to exhibit themselves in such a manner? It looks to me like they would be happy just living quietly pursuing their right to be happy like everyone else. We don't have Heterosexual pride parades, flaunting our sexuality in front of the world? Why does flaunting their private lives make them so happy? It is my observation that the people who have to make huge displays of things are really trying to hide some feelings of inadequacy in their life and I do not just mean homosexuals,that can go for anyone who begs for negative attention.

Why would anyone want to conduct something that they know is going to cause a lot of trouble? It will not endear the residents of Grundy County to this group any faster.

Gays and Lesbians are supposed to be kind and gentle spirits, so why would you, knowing that it is only going to cause problems, want to press such an issue.

Can you imagine if Christians tried to stage a Christian Pride parade down the middle of a Muslim strong hold? It would be like inviting suicide. But we do not feel instigating trouble is necessary in order to prove our existence.

I use this analogy because, according to homosexuals, Christians are the enemy who feel they are the only ones who are right and we as Christians feel as though we are persecuted by Muslims. We as Christians have no recourse though. We have no ACLU to protect us, we are KILLED, TAUNTED, HATED and DESPISED for asserting our beliefs and we are expected to stand idly by and say "bless your heart" and "it's okay to tread on us while you can do and say anything you please"

As Christians we are to love everyone, especially our enemies, we are instructed to PRAY FOR THOSE WHO DESPITEFULLY USE US, so we do, and we take and take and take until our spirits resemble the face of Christ after he was beaten, tortured, and pierced. We must love our neighbors, Jesus told us too, but he also said that we are to hold fast and keep the faith.

Are we hypocrites? Yes, because if we say we love Christ and we pray for those who misuse us,and then let groups like this drag our faith through the mud, then yes, we are hypocrites to Jesus. We tell him one thing and then do another.

My suggestion would be, go ahead and have your parade, but have it somewhere where it will not cause riots,chaos and potential blood shed. If there is no such place, then what does that tell you?

Gonna be kinda hard to have a bar when you don't get it approved by the city council, don't ya think?

Why would anyone want to have a gay parade in Tracy City? Dont you people know that when you enter a small GOD fearing town. That has churches that are not even one mile apart. that beleive that GOD created man and woman, and not man and man. Man are stupid, or just dont know what you are getting into.

It appears that all the posts on this subject are from people who do not live in Tracy City, or even Grundy County. If you don't live here, you don't know us, nor do you know what we do or don't want, or what we will or will not accept.
I do happen to live in Tracy City, in the heart of Grundy County. I know a few gay people, and I know straight people, and I doubt if 40% of those people are gay/homosexual/lesbian. But I have no way of knowing that because most people I know do not flaunt their sexual prefference, or advertise, or otherwise make it public knowledge. I figure the ones who are in herterosexual relationships are hetero, and the "very few" who are in homosexual relationships are gay.
My point is; If you don't live here, don't come here to cause trouble.

I really wish that peole would leave the bible out of the discussion. I am not sure where you get your info from but the majority of the US population id obese or over weight, Grundy has not cornered the market on weight issues. The 40 percent homosexual population, weel who did you poll and I for one would like to see this info. Even it it is so I really dont think small town American is the approppriate place fo a gay bar. This is a small nit community and it will not go over well. I t will only cause more problems and believe or not there are a lot of good people here that could really careless about your sexually orientation,but some insist on making public knowledge and then whine when something is said by someone. Grundy is the best place to live. and we dont need this gay stuff a goin on. All i gotta say is that theese people are purty brave to come to grundy.

33 year grundy resident say's keep your preference to yourself me nor anyone else here ;who's not gay want's your kind here much less want's you to start parading it around like some kind of special monkey been fine here not knowing or seeing no reason to change thing's now

Actually, I do live in Grundy County and my hat's off to the person who started this thread. I haven't had this much free entertainment in months. No "dazed and confused" I didn't start it but I may copy the idea. The ACLU survey was icing on the cake.
