I stated my opinion calmly, as I'm doing now. Is St. Francis happy with you for telling me to F myself.. If you found a vet that you like, that's great. But respect that someone has a different opinion without getting hostile if you want people to respect your point of view.

Here is what happened on my first & last visit during the Fall of 2008. Even though I had an appointment, the place was packed & I had to wait outside on Bloomfield Ave for approx 10 min. Finally there was a "stall" available to stash my dog until he was able to be seen. The moment I walked in with my dog another animal was being carried out. I later found out that animal was in a vicious dog attack. What I didn’t notice at first was that the floor was lined with blood from both that dog as well as the dog that attacked him, who was never caught. It wasn’t until my dog walked approx 5 feet thru the blood on the floor to the holding stall that I realized what was going on & pulled my dog aside (and tried to clean his paws off). The first thing I checked was if I could see any open cuts on the bottom of his feet (since the other animal wasn’t caught – there was no way to know if that blood was contaminated with rabies or any other disease). It took about 3 minutes for one of the tech’s to finally get some paper towels to clean up the mess on the floor. No one volunteered to clean up my dogs paws. Not only was I was mortified that when there was blood of a suspicious animal on the floor that the area was NOT CONTAINED, but horrified that it was never SANITISTED. Wiping blood up with a paper towel is not satisfactory. Someone should have sprayed a sanitizer . I’m sure that Dr Cameron is a competent vet, but I don’t feel his staff is, nor do I feel his miniscule space is sanitary & so I will not be a repeat client.

Dr. George Cameron is the kindest, most compassionate man I know. If you are a client of his, as I am, then you already know how fortunate you are to be a part of the Cameron Animal Hospital family! I've been a CAH client for over 30 years and have never had a bad experience there. How often do we see a staff remain in one place for more than a few years? Some of his staff are the same people that were there 30 years ago when I first became a client; this, I believe, is a testimony to this wonderful man and veterinarian. Sorry, Nellie, for your experience or perceived experience but you really should have spoken directly to Dr. Cameron and not to this website of good people who do not share your sentiments. Please contact Dr. Cameron and explain what happened and, then, please return to this website with a follow-up. You will be pleasantly surprised and satisfied...we guarantee it.

Do yourself a favor and walk out their back door, and march straight over to Dr. Brenda King on the corner of Glenridge Ave and Forest Street. She is a top notch vet! Been going to her for well over 5 years now with my great pyrs. Many positives like not recommending ever shot under the sun, she took the time to discuss the dogs routines and we scheduled an appropriate routine. She did not suggest to remove the dew claws. With Pyr's, you ARE NOT TO REMOVE the dew claws. Repeat,do not remove DEW CLAWS. There are many other instances I could list, but do not want to bore you. One last note, I know many others that have Dr. King in their corner for their animals, and all have the same positive experiences. The staff are very helpful, even under duress when the phone, fax, and Dr. are asking for their attention. I'd be happy to answer any questions off line about Dr. King or her staff. Please email me at murphs131@gmail.com. Have a great new year! Nick wrote: Ive been taking my dogs to cameron animal hospital now for almost 2 years. Dr. Cameron is great to my dogs suzie and lacey. He is the only one that is worth talking to. If you have to deal with someone there, he is the only one that recommend you to speak to. The incompetence of the staff and the other vets will astound you. The record keeping and the lies will never bring me back to them again. My dog got very sick a few months back while i was unemployed. The bill would have been over $2000 if we didnt accept a foster dog that was residing there. I accepted the dog (lacey), to help with the bill. Right off the bat I told the person that was going to foster her until Suzie got better was that I cant afford to have her spayed and have her first shots. I was told by her that it would be taken care of. The dog was being fostered and was rushed on me (saying that she would keep the dog if I didnt get her) before Suzie was feeling better. I accepted the dog early, thank god she didnt get sick. Again repeating please ask Dr cameron to take care of this. Again she said there is no problem. After having the dog for almost 2 months and calling many times for her paperwork I got the excuse that the person who does that was on vacation. That excuse was made again today when I picked up Lacey and the spay bill was over $400. This doesnt include the past due bill that they said I owed which I paid. They didnt have it on file so I have to go home now and get the reciept to prove it. I proved it. I also asked why was the person who does the dogs paperwork was on vacation for 2 months. I got no answer. The shots that Lacey got-no record! No tags for her either. And I paid for everything. After I talked to one of the other vets there to tell them it was supposed to be free, they sent out another person to deal with us. Funny how the person who fostered her and Dr Cameron had the day off. Wonder why they scheduled her for yesterday and to pick her up the day they were both off?!?! I will not be going back there! You can email me if you like to hear this story again.... love4cars77@hotmail.com -Nick-

Bumper was born blind 11 years ago when animals were considered "non adoptable" and euthenized in shelters right away. I kept him anyway.Best decision I have EVER made. Now 11 yrs later one of his eyes has severe pain from glaucoma and cateracts. I lost my job in this economy and my home. But Bumper is my baby and HIS SURGERY IS TOMORROW.I went to four veternarians explaining my love and commitment to Bumper. They all were very uncaring and stated the surgery would be thousands. Dr. Cameron is going to work with me with this knowledge. Today is January 4, 2010. To be continued AS IT HAPPENS. I will give you every detail to my and Bumpers treatment.Cost, treatment,Bumpers personality ect... Only good thoughts at this TIME need respond. "PLEASE" ....

OK. It is Tuesday morning 10 AM. Bumper (my cat) was dropped off at 8 AM this morning. The week day staff was MUCH MUCH nicer than the weekend receptionist that made my first impression of the vet not so great. But judging the vet by her would have resulted in not meeting a very compassionate man. Dr. Cameron. The office was quite full but again it was due to the lack of space provided. Hey, As long as the surgery goes well, I could care less about the bells and whistles of the office. The Vet Tech. stated to call at 3PM. The Tueday morning receptionist (today) spoke with me reassuring me that the Dr. new what he was doing. She also spoke of her two adult cats that had eye removal. Made me feel MUCH better walking out leaving my baby in the care of Dr Camerons staff minus the weekend receptionist that "thank God" was no where in site. To be continued as this day unfolds for moment to moment opinions and true facts as they happen....Thank you for your continued NON negative opinions....My CAT Bumper in my opinion at this moment is in GOOD HANDS....

January 5, 2009 3:40 PM. Just called and learned that Bumper (kittu) went through surgery WELL. NO COMPLICATIONS according to receptionist. He will not be discharged until tomorrow....So far, I see NOTHING wrong with Dr Cameron's practices. Of course I have not received the bill as of yet. That and Bumpers condition will be revealed tomorrow. Whew~ After all the emails of opinions I read prior to mine I am feeling GREAT RELIEF. For those who have had a bad experience, stay tuned for tomorrows outcome of my ordeal. Sorry for taking up so much space, BUT I think this is IMPORTANT for you to experience FACTS weather the outcome good or bad. Either way, MY BABY seems to be fine...
