What a joke. I'm sick and tired of seeing so many Mexicans run around praising how great Mexico is. Why are you here? Why did your family leave Mexico and come here? For a better life cause Mexico can't offer that. The same reason why my ancestors left Europe, for a better life. This country gives you all the opportunities you need in life. You have to make the most of them, not expect this country to do it for you. Many Latinos understand that and appreciate it, I just wish more did

Full story: www.charlotteconservative.com

In hosting America’s largest population of illegal immigrants, California bears a huge cost to provide basic human services for this fast growing, low-income segment of its population. A new study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) examines the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens, and concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion per year. Among the key finding of the report are that the state’s already struggling K-12 education system spends approximately $7.7 billion a year to school the children of illegal aliens who now constitute 15 percent of the student body. Another $1.4 billion of the taxpayers’ money goes toward providing health care to illegal aliens and their families, the same amount that is spent incarcerating illegal aliens criminals.“California’s addiction to ‘cheap’ illegal alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state’s shrinking middle class tax base,” stated Dan Stein, President of FAIR.“Most Californians, who have seen their taxes increase while public services deteriorate, already know the impact that mass illegal immigration is having on their communities, but even they may be shocked when they learn just how much of a drain illegal immigration has become.” The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Californians focuses on three specific program areas because those were the costs examined by researchers from the Urban Institute in 1994. Looking at the costs of education, health care and incarceration for illegal aliens in 1994, the Urban Institute estimated that California was subsidizing illegal immigrants to the tune of about $1.1 billion. The enormous rise in the costs of illegal immigrants over the intervening ten years is due to the rapid growth in illegal residents. It is reasonable to expect those costs to continue to soar if action is not taken to turn the tide.

Exactly what is wrong in exhibiting a dance of their culture? Is it any more wrong for the Irish or the Scots to show pride in their homeland and cultural traditions? Exactly how does Ballet Folklorico expect "this country to do it for you." I think you anger towards Mexicans fogs your description of the dance troupe.

I am sadden by most of these comments. My race is white and my ethnicity is latina (hispanic if you look at statistics). My ancestory is a latin blend, including natve american and arabian and I am married to a white man of Irish decent. First and foremost I am American, I was born here and have not desire to go live in another country or even visit one, including Mexico and any other Country. There is so much here in this country to see. I love other cultures and enjoy their differnces. Can you imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same?

This is a very good dance troop. Some have gone on to dance nationally. Two of my grandchildren were in this group. They learned alot. Also learned eye hand coordination, how to get along eith others, how to work as a group. I paid for their outfits, shoes, boots. There is a lady that spends countless hours repairing the outfits for free. It grows self worth and self esteem. This is a wonderful program and provides a perfect atmosphere for the children and young adults to grow. This is the honest truth from Brain Dead.

Im touched Brain Dead. This is actually the first post that I like that you wrote. If you let your grandchildren participate with this group Bronson has no problem with you. Have a good night B.D.

If the program was not funded by the City of Woodland I would not have a problem with it. But it is funded through the Parks and Rec Program. They do not offer Irish or Scots to dance at the reduced price they offer dance and boxing to the POOR MEXICANS.

Funny how Mr. Smith lets Pat Kittle write all these hateful posts, but yet delets my post. How come Mr. Smith? I will say it again to all you haters. Bend over and grab your ankles because this event will go on no matter what you guys say. If you haters have a problem with the event show up and picket. See what happens. Just wait until the economy gets better and immigration will pick up and our #'s will grow even faster. If you dont like it move to another state because we are not going anywhere. Haters why dont you write a letter to the Opera house manager to complain why there letting this event go on if you have a problem. Remember what your forefathers did to the Japanese in the 40's? How about what your german ancestors did to the Jews in Germany. How about what you did to the Native Americans. All you Anglo's have a history of racism and persecuting people of color. How about slavery? I can go on and on. I say tough say what you want to say, but it will not change one thing. We Mexicans are here to stay and will continue to multiply. Bronson over and out. Now Jim Smith winner of the Paul Williams Rotarian award are you going to censor my post. Come on Jimmy lighten up.
I do not believe tey are true racist. I believe they are very frustrated at the hate and threats made to the Americans (as shown in your posts) after all that has been done for the Mexican population, at the expense of the tax payers, with no results. It is not racism, it is confusion and disbelief. The more and more the taxpayer give, the more and more the Mexicans take, but there is still no improvement on the Mexicans part and the Mexicans wave their flags and scream at Americans for not doing enough for them. We tax payers are now at the point of just enabling Mexicans to do as they wish because they have proven they are either incapable or against assimilation. That is all. It is confusion as America has never seen a group of people like this. It is not racism as your people try and confuse it as. This is a word used so you can get even more benefits. I've been in America long enough to realize this. You cannot fool us. The Govt is afraid to say anything because your race always scraems it is racist. A new breed of anything is confusing. Bigfoot was confusing. Locknest monster was confusing. Loations need to go to Casinos is somewhat confusing, but is a meeting ground. You and yours are confusing.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Scorpio

Let the past stay in the past for now. Even though you may have fond memories of intense experiences, the Virgo Moon sees to it that you have virtually no desire to go there again just yet. This is your opportunity to show others what you can do in a more civilised environment. Don't try to shout down someone who is rude enough to interrupt. As unlikely as it may seem, the softest voice has the biggest chance of being heard today.
