By the way..."out there" is the Franklin County Career and Technical Center. Ms. Rockwood makes it sound like some horrible outpost in the hinterlands.

1 reporting the truth, just change the reason. Approval was NOT given to build the wing at the Career Center. CASD has few alternatives. Ms. Rockwell, you need to do better with giving the truth. Some individuals in Franklin County can obtain previous information. Fluff is so unattractive and disrespectful to us as taxpayers! |

1 All the other crap about extra courses, additional counselor services for the students is BS. God, I can't stand the whole lying through the teeth presentations from the CASD board. |

Is spokesperson for CASD a need? Let's cut that cost. For years all others in the administration spoke for themselevs. Does anyone in this administration or board every speak the truth?

I'm sure the 320 CT students will still have their own full time assistant principal. Since they will be in a "block schedule," will they will be segregated in their own classes again? Not much higher level math and no foreign languages were offered the last time that was tried.

Why doesn't the PO do an article on the Number and salaries of the administrative staff in the CASD? Would that be too much to ask of the PO? It would be very informative.

Another brilliant move by Padasak and the lame school board. They could save the $170,000 by getting rid of Ted Rabold and other paid for life consultants. It is no secret that some of the teachers and students at the high school look down on vo tech kids as not being equal. This will never change. If these vo tech kids wanted higher level math and other subjects, they would have never went to the vo tech in the first place.

closing the school not a good idea. getting rid of some high paying people or just lowing there pay to the normal people. I do agree there is alot of teachers and student that do not like the votech kids. Its because they have a career start in mind when they get out of school.

If all Chambersburg Career Tech studends are to go to the partially renovated CASHS in the 2nd semester next year, it would require them all to be in their shops the 1st semester. They now constitute 45% of the enrollment at FCCTC. Would that mean that close to 90% of the 1st semester students would be from CASHS? Do the other districts have send most of their students 2nd semester? Most districts (except tiny Fannnett-Metal) split their students evenly each semester. Would they go along with this plan? Or is this plan all a smokescreen by Padasak to get the academic wing expanded at CT?
The renovations at CASHS and making the school a 9-12 high school were based on a rather rosey projection that 1000 students would at CT fulltime. |

1 thats not what i meant , sorry . what i meant was why should we pay for anyone to go too an out of state school when we have schools here and keep the money here ! also helping people who have loss a job learning to get a new job is more inportant the just a degree . just because you have a degree does mean your going to be a doctor or lawyer... so at the interview when they ask you " ok you have a degree so what can you do an how much experiance do you have ? " there are millions of americans with out a degree who go to work everyday and earn a check also most inportantly keep this country running every day damn day !!!! my hats off to them !!!! |

I think that this is an excellent suggestion. Come on PO, step up, grow a pair and write this article. It shouldn't be that hard to gain access to all of the salaries since it's a matter of public record. Do something for the greater good of the community and put some pressure on CASD to make some real cuts...at the top, instead of at the bottom of the pay scale. You owe it to the public! |
