David Seber

A 17 year old committed suicide today by shooting himself. His name was David Seber, he attended Livingston Academy... Why did he do it?

RIP you shouldnt worry why he did it ,, just be there for the family... they lost a good boy ,,, I didnt know him but I looked him up on facebook .. he was a good looking boy the smile he had in his pic, u could just tell he was the best,this isnt something for u to understand ,,

he was a great guy and he will be missed. i dont think i ever show him without a smile so that why this come as such a suprise. everyone needs to pray for his family cause they are having a really hard time. rip david

Everyone wishes they knew. Why? Because no one wants something so horrific and horrible happening like this with their loved ones. He was a good boy with a good nature, that's why this is such a shock to us all. I'm sure everyone just wants to prevent this kind of heartache and tragedy from happening in their own lives. I for one am very broken up about it...shocked and in disbelief.

If your friends with him on facebook, he obviously knew he was going to do it, at 11:30 today he posted a video on his facebook saying goodbye to all his friends and family. Its so sad because as someone who knew him, he was such a good person and such a good friend, many prayers going out to his family right now.

He was a great kid. Did not drink,smoke,etc. not that that matters, but he was just an all-around good guy. Knew him well and he was at my house a lot with my kid. Always smiling and joking. What a waste. My prayers are with the family. My heart goes out to them. Never will know what possessed a 17-year-old to think that this was the only option he had. You will be missed David.........

David was my best friend. He was always smiling and often cheered me up in hard times. No one will ever know exactly why he did what he did. but the point is, he is gone and his family needs everybodys love and prayers. He was a great person all around. He will be missed by many. I love you bro. R.I.P. I'll miss you :'(

To "Why" in Statesville, it did not specifically say on Facebook that he was going to do anything. It was just a slide-show of David and his family/friends together with some written words by David. I am sure that someone would have said or done something had it specifically said that he was going to do what he did. It appears that the whole thing was planned now but NOONE needs to have a big guilt trip put on them because there was nothing anyone could have done to stop him because he DID NOT SAY THAT HE WAS GOING TO DO WHAT HE DID PROIR TO DOING IT! We that knew and loved him would love to have answers but there are not any. Please lets all just give his family the support and respect they need right now and leave it alone.

If you notice the time he posted it, most of his friends were in school anyway. It's not time to be negative. So many people loved him and knew him well and saw no signs that this could happen. There are enough people who are asking theirselves why didn't I notice without a stranger trying to make it worse. I hate that this is even on here, but since it is, let everyone keep it positive. Lots of love for David, his family, and friends who are crushed right now. Prayers are sent for this wonderful boy who is already missed more than words can express

I am interest in knowing who his family is.

Did you ever consider that with him being a senior in highschool that my quess would be that his friends were at school at the time he posted this. With cellphones being prohibited at school they wouldn't have known. Two of my housemates were at his house less than 48 hours prior to this tragic event and seen NOTHING out of the norm. Your comment could make some of these kids feel some form of guilt so you really should apologize.Please think before you speak.

by the time he posted the vidoe at 11:59 am and text a few friends and school the kid reported what he was goin to do but by the time 911 was called he had already killed him self shortly after the time the video was posted.

This is a horrible thing that has happened and from what I hear he was a very sweet young man... I have some nieces who attend Livingston Academy and they were saying people were bullying. harassing and making fun of this poor young man who had such a promising life ahead of him.. So the people of Overton County need to address this issue to the school board because there is entirely to much bullying goes on at these schools and the board nor the schools seem to care or do anything about it.. Nothing can change what has happened with this young man and my heart goes out to his family but if people in Overton County would get concerned about this stuff going on in these schools maybe someone else can be helped before this happens to someone elses child... R.I.P. David Seber!!!! your life really did count....
