Neighbors clash over gun range

“I want to continue using (low-caliber) .22s and shotguns.”

A dispute over a private gun range in Wesley Chapel will likely continue to simmer, even if the town begins restricting firearms use.

The village council is scheduled to hold a public hearing April 1 on a proposed ordinance regulating 'indiscriminate' shooting. It would restrict firing guns to self-defense and hunting.

Council members say the ordinance, modeled on similar measures in other municipalities, isn't intended to affect the private gun range that has stirred the controversy. Read more

I'll guarantee you that the responsible owner of that thoroughly inspected shooting range (who was there shooting on his property long before these complaining homeowners moved in) will be a lot safer neighbor than the "hunting" that would be allowed by this biased ordinance.

I live in stonegate. Dr. Land delivered my son. I think people should leave him alone. his range is safe. it is his property. The noise he makes is not even close to the noise the neighborhood block parties make until the early morning hours!

s it legal for Judge Tracy Carroll to be married to Lt Billy Flurry who works for the Aiken County Sheriff's Office? LT Flurry has a number of officers who present there case in her courtroom for warrants, arrests, hearings, trials, etc. It's hard to believe that she is able to conduct impartial and independent hearings given that she's sleeping with law enforcement. This just doesn't seem right from an ethical point of view? Can anyone help Aiken? This explains why they use two different last names.
