She might have switched when they changed the start time for Good Morning ArkLaMiss from 6 AM to 5 AM. Getting up in the middle of the night to go to work is not something everybody wants to do.

I thought about her simply wanting to be able to sleep more "normal" hours.
It was not when they made the switch, it was quite a while after that but that still may have been a major contributing factor

There was a news article about Shaw and KNOE in the News Star. They got rid of him in an acrimonious exchange --- he is filing a lawsuit against the station or the news/weather station manager.

If you search the News star at www.thenewsstar.com for Neil Shaw, then you can probably still read the article online. The article mentioned that the new owners of the station wanted to get rid of the higher paid employees who had been at the station for a longer time, so they could reduce costs.(This may have been Shaw and/or his attorney's theory --- but it sounds like it may be true.)

I was a little shocked because I always enjoyed Neil Shaw, and I thought he was a first class weather guy, and he was good when he did other types of on air shows as well. The station should be ashamed.

Judy made her farewell speech during a news broadcast, and she said that she would be going to Chicago to pursue other interests.

Judy is gone from Channel 8 in Monroe, LA.
