This is NOT true.(And trust me I'm no Obama fan either). I guess unemployment only goes up if you turn the chart upside down?
It's time for people to wake up from their political fantasies. Carter/Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bus h/Obama/Romney are all the same. Sure they pretend to give different speeches but the same bank runs them all and their policies.

When Clinton took office, the DOW was 3241.95. On his last day it office it was 10587.59.
When Obama took office, the DOW was 7949.09. The most recent close as I write this is 11,866.39.
George W. Bush leaves office today with the Dow Jones industrial average off 2,306 points from when he took over: The worst performance for any U.S. president.
The blue chips closed Friday -- the last full trading day of Bush's term -- at 8,281, way off of the 10,588 that the index stood at when Dubya took office in 2001.
That makes Bush the first president since Richard Nixon to preside over a declining Dow. In percentage terms, Bush's 21.8 percent Dow drop is the worst showing since an 83.2 percent decline under President Herbert Hoover, whose term included the 1929 stock-market crash.
Where are you getting these numbers? They conflict with reality...

Does anybody remember the false talk and going to war looking for WMD in Iraq.
That war cost you and I a lot of money we did not have to spend.
They did not find any WMD's.
That war put us in debit up to our ears.

I guess I remember GW Bush for taking us into a war under false reasons, he might have thought there were WMD's there, but he still did not find any WMD's and he has to be held accountble for all the money spent and lives lost on both sides.

All that money made a lot of folks richer. That's why we have to manufacture our enemies and sacrifice humanity at the alter of the gods of profit margins. Iraq and Afghanistan are all but played out so now we have to create new enemies. Watch out Iran and Syria, the opportunity for the great returns you offer may be to good for us to pass up.

The Democrats in the house and senate supported the war and where convinced of WMD. Now, about the national debt, read the following. Oh, and don't let the truth get in the way of lies.

January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!Remember that day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney ) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment...to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie -starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). Barney blocked it and called it a "Chicken Little Philosophy" (and the sky did fall!)
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!

Albert - Would you please provide the web site you got your information from.
Is it just somebody saying it or do the numbers and data come from an government agency that tracks the data. If it is a blog then anybody can say anything without proof just like on this site.

Please look at my other posts on the data you state in your post and go to the links that I provided, the data comes from government sites that
list the information both postive and negative for
Democrates and Republicans.

I will look forward to your reply on where your information was obtained, please look at my older posts and the linls provided.

I don't understand what you mean, but I do think that you and I cannot change anything in Washington no matter who is in office.
They will do what is good for the party (A small group of people, some voted in and some not voted in) and they will not listen to the people.
They will argue and debate and hold meeting after meeting and the wishes of the people will go unfilled. But there will always be unhappy people because all people do not agree on everything so there will be someone not happy with any law passed.
I think the best we can do is to try to survive
day to day.

Just goes to show they all work for the same puppetmasters. NO elected official should be allowed to serve more than 4 yrs. The longer they serve the more corrupt they become.

Albert - Check out this site, it is very informative.

It shows the Dow for GW Bush going from
2001 - 10,588 to 2009 - 7,949

This matches up with the web site you gave me on the dow

http://dowjonesblog.com/dow-up-60-percent-sin...

This Dow Jones site states Obama dow numbers have went up 60%- 4,771.
It also talks about GW Bush gain in first term of office and his loss in the second term.

Thank you for you sites I will look at the other ones you provided.
