And the stupid owner for allowing such behavior should be sent back packing overseas cuz he all about frobbing people blind and making a dollar not caring about feelings. Maybe that's howntheybdo it in Iraq! Not here in tx or us

as the parent of two soldiers i am appalled at this young female. she's now trying to cover her butt by saying ssg staples called to the front desk and just started cussing and ranting and she calmly said how can i help you then he hung up. what a moron. shameful ! and here its our soldiers that are risking everything so she can laugh at them. let her serve a few tours in iraq or afghanistan and see how she feels. she needs to do something productive with her life rather than laugh at the disabled military or not

She has always been rude and had an attitude. Sad that she does have 3 kids to support, and very well have just lost her job. Whoever checked him in should have seen he was in a wheelchair and pulled strings and shuffled things around to have him on the 1st floor to begin with. She also should have called for one of the oilfield guys that "live" there and asked if they could help him. I know it has been done before from personal experience. They would gladly have helped. I know she couldnt leave the desk...but here was different ways to help. Maybe her thought process isnt the same as mine...i feel bad for the guy, but he could have waited until the power was back on. Oh and btw...how was there a power outage but the phones still worked?

why was he not on the first floor?? Aren't all handicap rooms on the first floor anyway?

She is rude, she lies about everything, she thinks she better than everyone else! Well apparently holly u r below everyone else!!! Karma bitch!!!! How dare her try and cover her ass by saying he was the one being rude!! Everyone that knows her knows how rude she is!!!! While I absolutely believe the staff member was completely wrong, regardless of the man's veteran status, I cannot agree with a flurry of negative reviews based on her actions.

Online reviews are to be based on personal experience, not opinions of someone else's stay. I will not base any review of any product or service on someone else's experience. Say they fire Ms. Oyerbides and nothing of this sort ever happens again, once those negative, wrongful reviews are published, they will still affect the Best Western's clientele and may put it out of business. In Monahans, I feel we need the Best Western or similar accomodations because of all the other slum motels.
