The Colosseum Complex

This is the shadiest establishment I have ever worked for. They do not pay their employees hourly and are like 6 months behind on rent. Hopefully the owner will wisen up and evict them. Or maybe the police will stop taking bribes from the security team there and then the police can finally go in there and bust all the people that do and deal coke in the bathrooms. I personally never wanna step foot in that hell again if for no other reason than I would prefer not to have to see Jeanie, the horribly, ugly, greedy, pompous woman whose thinks she owns the place even though her husband who does not know that she is sleeping with half of security is the one who is supposed to be paying all the bills... which he does not do anyways so I guess it irrelevant. Next time your there look for the old lady dressed like a cheap hooker doing shots of patron at the end of the bar getting felt up by a bald man who thinks he's god, even though he's a 5'6, 50 year old who heads security, while her husband does all the work.

OMG....You must've been pretty fed up girl!! Well, way to go by telling everyone what a shady place it is. I will NEVER go in that dirty, drugy, nasty place again! Thanks for putting it out there. I hope her husband reads this!!

If you feel that the Mokena Police is not doing the their job, since you know first hand by working there, then I would suggest contacting Will County Sheriff's Office and letting them in on what's happening there. I seriously doubt Mokena P.D. is being bribed by a bunch of hillbillies. I have been there myself a couple of times and refuse to go there anymore. Nothing but trash in that bar.

Let me tell you all about this place.i worked there for about 3 years back in the day..Mokena is paid off by them,,,,but heres the kicker,.,,they buy there liquor and beer illigaly, the owners wife Jeane is a compulsive hoodrat, their daughter danielle ditchfield is a stubborn bitch who makes herself puke to be skinny, thats why she eats taco bell all the time,,,their so called Head of Security, Andre Hernandez who works for the illinois tollway, the bald dude, is a sexual harrasser, fires people who have opinions and loves to beat up the clientel or drag them out by the neck, or even beat up cops. And to top it all of you have the owner ofthe company who has no idea his wife is saving up the money he gives her for bills and the money employees are suppose to be getting paid, so she can leave him someday! her own words, while in the meantime having sex with the GM and Andre....hmmm nice eh? The place is trash, no, really, trash, there are bugs and cockroaches behind the bars, fruit dlies in the liquor and remeber next time you order Patron, its not Patron, but well tequilla, they pour it in the Patron bottle instead of buying new ones,,,its call a RIP off!!!

Dragging the Police into this? Come on, really. We all know the Police are NOT paid off by a bunch of drunks. That bar causes nothing but headaches for them. And if the "head of security" every beat up one of the cops, what do you think would happen? He'd be shot, jackass.

Actually about 3 yrs ago i quit becasue i was not getting paid, and I was a server GHETTO....you must work there to be so gong hoed for the place!!!! You must represent what that place is all about! Thanks for making it all clear for us! You are probally the one who was SUPPOSE to pay me!

No, I don't work or frequent that bar. If you in fact did quit 3 years ago, I appologize. I got you confused with the original poster.

The owners may not be ethical - in fact, they may be horrible business people. The fact that there were accusations of Mokena Police taking bribes is what is ridiculous, slanderous, and wrong. Unless you have proof, please do not make such statements.

And it's not "gong hoed". It's "Gung Ho", a Chinese phrase. I did know a girl who had "gong hoed". It never really worked out for her though.

i know for a fact that the Mokena cops are corrupt and really are not that ethical. And for the bar that place is absolutely brutal at everything they do. i was there the other night for their Halloween party and they ran out of beer. okay they didn't run out the only had one type left... who does that... and from what i heard the same thing happened on new year's. definitely staying away from that place from now on i don't know what i was thinking going back there. better off just going to oak park ave.

Coem on all cops aare corrupt, at least some are, but Mokena is paid off "as extra security" But really if they want someone arrested for anything, its done.....instead of them handeling things professionally they just arrest you....Hey one more offense this year and that place closes!!! Going public is the best way!

what other sites bad mouth them? They do run out of beer everynight... all the time they run and buy cases of beer which is very illegal in the bar business.

This place will be closed by the end of the year with the way things are going? They also buy their liquor from CD Liquors down the street...sometimes its not so safe to try to save a buck..........it will eventually catch up with them!

And as far as Mark Ferrari And brother In-law Ben go- the two supposed owners of the dump-(by the way Ben is brother of the hoodrat hooker Jeanie Marks wife who I personally had a piece of in the VIP room upstairs. The police are not "paid off." We pay them to increase the peace. Drunks leaving the bar act civil when they see police. Not all of the liquors are bought illegaly.(Although some if it is) Besides, if this place is so horrible - why does it pull 500 - 900 guests on the weekends?

Nah, this place has been around longer than that. I think it has probably been around about 6 or 7 years, and before that Ground Zero, and before that Arena Sports Bar.
I used to work in promotions and we all HATED to do promos there because everyone was so sleazy. It's like they think they're on some tv show about this wild and crazy cutting edge place when in fact they are a bunch of dropouts running a crapshack bar that changes names every few years in the freaking suburbs.
But, anyway... It is SUCH a shame that the place is packed with trashy management and trashier clientele because that outdoor beer garden USED to be a lot of fun when it was Arena!
They abuse their poor servers, make them dress like whores, and don't even pay them minimum waitress wage (what is it, still $3.09 an hour?) because they claim that the tips are SOOO good... little do they know it's hard to drag a tip that doesn't jingle out of broke, drunk 21-year olds.

what other websites badmouth this place? i think its hilarious! especially because i know that it is all true! i too worked there for 3years and eventually made my way up to management. and that didnt work out so well haha. colo is celebrating their 6th yr anniversary this aug.[i beleive]. for those that asked. this is great! a site badmouthing the Colly?......this one is to the Employee... you say they pull in around 900 a night.lets see you must be the fat, bald headed guy at the door clicking the button to count how many people come in. Yeah, well i use to do that too,,,and no more then MAYBE 500 come in, but the place is so fuckin huge and the staff sucks that only about 100 of them actually get served. Oh and by the way, next time you order a shot of patron for 9 dollars, its BAR TEQUILLA!!!! Peace..........

oh, by the way.the cops are NOT paid to control the peace, they are paid so when the security beats the shit out of a customer instead of just kicking him out, they dont get another violation against them. Please..........stop lying, and get real! Peace from Chicago~!
