Does anyone know the real truth to last weekends championship game between 12u prospects and NWI Shockers?
Story is Coach Korbel rushed on to field after Shockers players hit the game winning Home Run and complained the boy threw his bat, then a friend of his who is a umpite at Ho Chunk called the batter out 5 min. after he scored.

Yes, what a proud moment it must be to take a home run away from another 12 year old boy because supposedly he "threw his bat". Just another reason the Prospects as an organization is hated by so many. I doubt everyone is jealous. Maybe disgusted. Wishful thinking. Another win with no respect.

I was there and saw that whole thing after my sons game ended. it was top of the last inning with 2 outs and the shockers kid hit a ball over the outfielders head but threw his bat and nailed the catcher. The umpire would have been hit if it didnt hit the catcher and he immediately signaled the batter was out. Coaches from the other team had nothing to with the call. Of course there was a big argument and the shocker coach got kicked out. The kid who got hit was down for a while but seemed ok and walked off after a few minutes. Prospect team scored 2 in the bottom of the inning so it may or may not have mattered anyway but who knows. was interesting to see the the shockers coach really getting into it with one of the prospect coaches after the game. Thought they were going to go at it. Parents from both teams were really going at it too. Would love to see those two play agian. More action might be off the field than on it.

I heard they won congrats. They beat another powerhouse team for another championship. Post it on your website, another 1st place finish. Congrats! Why doesn't the Prospects get in tournaments where teams like Sparks, Victory and Tinley Park. I know why, they would 10 run ruled!

The funny thing is the seeding was messed up with the semi's . Prospects lost to Oak Lawn Chargers(won't find that on the website) they should of never played the in the first semi. They should have have played the NWI Shockers first. Steve must of complaining of the seeding and got his way again.
Go back to your sweat shop in the basemaent Steve and quit coaching boys bball.

You like that guy? I feel sorry for his daughter who he never has paid any attention to ... she tried playing softball at LWC but just could not compete because she was not given the opportunity to play travel sports ... it's a shame.

Way to support 12-year old kids you a**wipe. See, that's the problem with you morons; you are so wrapped up in your personal agendas that you forget about the kids.
In this particular situation, if the rules state that throwing a bat equals an out, then Korbel's argument was legit. I would bet that the kid involved learned a valuable lesson here and will never throw a bat again. It's unfortunate that this happened at a critical turning point in the game, but just because it was a great hit and a homerun does not mean the rule doesn't have to be followed. Unfortunate? Absolutely!
Aside from this, good luck to all the 12u kids from all teams heading to Cooperstown! hear it's a great experience.

Most of those prospect kids have huge heads, only encouraged by their leader. They're a bunch of crybabies who think they are better than everyone else.

Heard The Fat Man was warned 4 times in the last 2 days about his players throwing things in the dugout and their bad attitudes towards other teams.

I haven't seen a map yet, but the state of New York isn't in the Character Nation. The state of Insanity is.

Someone needs some advice today and you're just the person to give it. Wait to be asked, though! You'll be able to draw on your experiences of life, and you might also throw in some spiritual guidance for good measure. If you have some spare time you'll enjoy immersing yourself in a thought-provoking book and then discussing it with someone who's on your wavelength.
