Missing Man's Family Hires Private Investigator

A man missing ? My sister murdered? Residents of saguache,you all need to step up and force the sheriff's office to do their job! Who will be next?

This is my Uncle Mike. If anyone can survive in that terrain, it's my Uncle Mike. I never imagined such a peaceful valley would harbour such violence and criminal drifters.

Someone PLEASE step up and give us information, there is a reward!!! It's too small of a town, someone has to know something!!!

There has to be someone who knows something!!! That area is full of gypsies, illegal immigrants & social deviants. I once thought of the Valley as a peaceful place, where I have brought my children to play and explore. I spoke with my Uncle Mike just days before, about how we can't wait for my young daughters to grow up and go stay out there for a vacation. What a wonderful place to go visit...or so I thought.

I assume the people who killed my uncle aren't even literate to be reading this especailly via email so I am taking this out on whoever may hear.

This was a horrific act of violence, something that no one should go through ever in their life time. May my uncle's soul rest in peace and yours forever tortured by the violence you brought against our family. I can only hope that the killers suffer long & hard. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!

my heart goes out to the family,my sister was murdered in 2007 in hollywood flordia and still no one has been arrested,her husband refuses to take a polygraph test but his day will come,he lives in colorda know with his new gf after a month my sister was killed inside her own home in her own bed,once again my prayers are with this family cause i know what they are going thru

We just got the dna back. The blood found on a fleece vest is my uncle's. The detectives also have the make & model of the vehicle, we know it was 2 people my uncle encountered. We even know some specific details so it is only a matter of time before we find out.

At this point, we have come to terms with his violent and horrific death. Now we want to see that the 2 people involved in his murder, are held accountable and punished.

My family will not simply let this go. We have no closure and until we see those cowards pay, we will stay on top of the case.

I didn't know your uncle on a personal level but I saw him on occasion in town. He seemed like a really nice person, he always smiled and said hi. Sorry for your loss. I hope that TexasBandit crawls back under the rock he crawled out from under. He is the epitome of the bad and no good human being this world has to offer.

I usually read topix forums from all over and it's very sad that there is a criminal loose. But to assume that the criminal is among the illegal immigrants, gypsies, and social deviants is pathetic. Sometimes, the criminals are white, well to do middle class literate deviants.Just think of Columbine.The deviants were not illegals. How about the medical student who killed the girl from New York??
I hope the police have a different mentality or they could end up accusing the wrong person. Crime doesn't discriminate among social classes.

No shit. It could have been anyone, any color, any ethnicity but you CLEARLY do not know the town, area or region. We do. Thanks for your input.

Mike Rust was my best friend in our days at Widefield High School. It breaks my heart to hear that he met his doom this way. He lived like Siddhartha and had nothing to steal. I was even surprised to read in the valley courrier that the missing item was a revolver. That said, I've been reading every tidbit of information and scouring the Delormes Topographic maps, and I think that
perhaps the killer(s) disposed of his body the same way they attempted to cremate the murdered woman. So, please, check all of the rubbish barrels in that area, and also I noted alot of abondoned mines in that mountain range up behind copper butte ( sorry I don't have my maps here so I can't state the names) but they might have dumped him down a mine shaft. I hope he is found as he deserves a proper burial and his family deserves justice. My heart goes out to his family,

Many of the things Mike taught me are still with me and he affected my life even until this day. I grieve for him and hope that justice is done.
