Quite a few do, do you?
I know many who don't yet support legalization.
Where are you at on this?

Personally I feel marijuana should be legalized. Let our law enforcement and tax dollars be used to fight the real problems in our communities. Such as meth etc. I would vote to legalize it. I dont smoke pot but I certainly see a lot more problems caused by alcohol. Of course it should be legal only to people 18 and older. I am interested to know what other people think.

I agree with you crooked town. The job opportunities and tax money would be great. Alcohol does cause a lot more problems. We need to decongest the courts, jails and prison of smokers and put more empathies on real crimes and real drugs that cause violence and crime statistics to go up like meth, drunk drivers, this bath salt problem...

According to statistics Missouri is #1 in the U.S. for meth production, distribution and use. I have a child in law trouble for meth addiction. This problem is our of control and ruining lives. Our tax dollars would be better spent combatting this issue. And the whole bath salt thing just boggles my mind. Our government, federal and state has got to look at the big picture. I do not believe marijuana is a gateway drug anymore then alcohol or cigarettes are. They are killing people right and left but these are legal to use. That amazes me. I have never heard of anyone dying because they used marijuana. If it was legalized it could help boost our economy and decongest our courts, jails and prisons. Then maybe we wouldn't have to release sexoffenders, pedophiles and violent criminals due to overcrowded prisons. Maybe one day we can get our laws changed. I wish more people would post on this subject. I would like to hear more opinions.

My opinion is the same as yours. People prosecuted for marijuana are victims of a terrible policy and the terrible people who enforce it despite how immoral it is. Alcohol is FAR, FAR worse, especially in this redneck state. The cop who will arrest someone for it, and the prosecutor who will pursue such a charge, when both will go out for a drink afterward, are hypocritical in the extreme.

Just legalize it. It's a weed. Who cares. Good grief, just legalize it. Just because it's legal doesn't mean your employer can't test you for it. After all, lots of places require employees to blow into an alcohol detection tube sometimes to make sure they haven't been drinking before coming to work. If you want to smoke weed, and your job doesn't depend on a clean urinalysis, just smoke it for godsake. It grows wild in some places, it's just a nappy little weed that people get high on for a while. good grief. When alcohol was prohibited it didn't stop folks from drinking. At least if it's legal the local government can get revenue from sales taxes.

I totally agree. It could boost a dragging economy tremendously. Then maybe all this dew shit would quit selling. That fake weed is bad news.

I totally agree. I have a child who is a meth addict. We have done everything possible to get this child straight. Last night a 20 year old kid that was a friend of my childs od'd on pills. Such a waste. If only marijuana was our biggest drug problem in this town.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
