Attempted Burglary

Moberly, Mo.-

Moberly police report that about 11:30 a.m, Tuesday, they were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Longview Street in reference to a report of an attempted burglary that had just occurred.
Commander Kevin Palmatory reports that officers arrived and contacted the complainant who stated she was in her residence when she heard her doorbell ring, but she did not answer the door.

What the??? People I hear my doorbell ring all the time now I know what to do. That cant be the end of the story! If so I will see this on Jay Leno.

not sure whats so funny about it. An older lady rang my doorbell this afternoon. I looked out the window and saw that she was carrying what looked to be pledge papers so I didn't answer the door either. Do you always answer your door no matter what?

The old bird was probably sitting in her TV room, paralyzed with fear from a steady diet of Fox News.

Okay, maybe the way I put that is not exactly good, but what I meant was by the way the Moberly-Monster put it.. made it funny! They started telling a story, then just ended it without any detail.

Guys what do i do someone ringed my door bell i called the cops and they said their phones are lite up like a christmas tree with all the calls like this and it will be 30 minutes before they can get here. Help please! On a side note if a hot chick rings your doorbell do you call 911 for a fire?

They need some stickers down at city hall that say "this house already robbed".I can slap one on my front door. Mine got robbed in January. I'm two blocks from longveiw. That way those thugs don't waste their time breakin down my door. Took it all, flat screen tv, laptop, digital camera, xbox and more. I dont even have to lock my door anymore....aint got nothin left.

but yet it's one of the most veiwed news channels out there! don't we need truth now, more than ever? i don't agree with some guy crying, and trying to tell me whats going on.

chillin....you can claim all of your stuff on homeowners insurance and have it replaced. If you rent you can also get renters insurance to cover it too....Its only like 10 bucks a month

like most of our news, fox news is keeping us all really stupid - but fox news more so. its no secret the programming and the distractions fox news creates are for simple people who want to feel like they're informed.
yet somehow people have some weird loyalty to it, so you get people that say, "Fox news rocks."
think about how dumb that is. if that's your position then you have absolutely been manipulated into thinking that way - just imagine how much stuff we buy as a result of the same kinds of manipulation in marketing.
the next time you're watching it, just take notice of how sensational all of it is - sensational as in they try to hit you from all angles with moving objects or shiny objects or sex or people speaking loudly or several people's faces on the screen at one time all saying something different.
The News Hour with Jim Lehrer is a much MUCH better source for actual news and level-headed information, but it seems boring in comparison to loud, cheesy cable news shows like fox.

excuse me Mr. Bill.....you are an idiot. If you dont like fox news, why dont you just leave it to us "simple people" and find something else to watch? No one said you have to like it and if others like it then why do you care? I dont really care for the talk show "Ellen". Guess what I do about that? I DONT WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you know that most of the time the ones that robbed you will give time for insurance to pay off, then come back and hit you again? That way they know what you have is new. I have a great security system, her name is Destiny and she is a pit bull. Her batteries don't run down, she works even when the electricity is off, and all it cost is about 40 pounds of dog food a month.

this IS the entire problem!
oh, believe me, i do not watch that garbage - but me and anybody else with half a brain still has to listen to all of the half-informed fox news robots spout-off loudly with what they think is the "fair and balanced" truth.
thanks for making my point, because this IS what i'm saying! fox news creates all of this negativity and bitterness toward opposing perspectives and inspires people to speak loudly about what they think is the right thing. what those people are speaking loudly about is actually just propaganda that has been delivered to them in a way that makes them feel patriotic or important or informed or sympathetic to some cause, etc.
i realize those are things that almost all tv programming does and it is how things are sold to us, but i think fox news is clearly the worst of it.
