Family seeks $20 million after gruesome crash photos released

How in the world does screwing the taxpayers of the state of Califonia out of 20 million make anything right? One person at CHP made a bad decision. There have been threads about how this little brat was amazing and just made "a bad choice", how about the same emotional nonsense being extnded to the person who made this mistake at CHP. Oh no the little brat was so special that her father who has more money than most in this state needs to take money from social programs to benefit the elderly, public works projects that benefit everyone, why ?? Because he is money grabbing whore who raised his daughter to be a little brat with little or no sense of maturity and no sense of contributing to society.
Congrats to Nikkis dad who will continue to promote the belief that hard work, dedication and committment can be replaced by screwing others.

As for the parents, is bad enough they lost their little girl, then to have some post ugly pictures of her death on the internet? Did you know someone e-mailed the photos to the parents? Probably not. You think they should just keep to them selves. Make the CHP pay for there stupidity.

Well to answer your question...Yes that is exaclty what I think they should do. The family wants their pictures private, then leave the CHP alone. They obviously have a serious procedrual issue if these photos get in the hands of someone who could email them to anybody. They are capable of determining who did this and SHOULD, and then terminate that individual. Are we to believe that the CHP emailed them to the parents? I don't think so. Some sick puke did and that is dispicable. But sick and sad shit happens evry day to much nicer people. These money grabbing whores are playing on everyones overblown and misplaced sympathy to make money. Causing the rest of the citizens of California to fork out 20 million from projects and programs is equally sick.

You haven't got a clue how things work Lee. This is just a tort claim with the State that must be filed before a lawsuit can proceed. Once the State rejects the claim--then a lawsuit can be filed. But in all probability the case will settle before this goes too far down the road. The amount claimed is completely meaningless. It's just a number to make a point. Attorneys always plead exaggerated numbers. Over 90% of all civil cases will settle for a small fraction of the damages pled. So stop whining for the "taxpayers". It's really own your pocketbook you are concerned about--isn't it? And while you are at it--consider the fact that you REALLY don't know he facts--or this family and their struggle. The fact that you sit and pass judgment on them (including their deceased daughter) is the more sickening than what you complain about. I won't be responding to you any further. Lee, you do appear to be a very intellegent man and I am not here to down you or slander you,however I don't think in fact I know that you shouldn't have called that girl out of her name.I don't think that was fair at all. You are absolutely right Jennifer, that was uncalled for and you put it very well when you said "called that girl out of her name". I do owe a deceased person that respect.
I got carried away in how some people were elevating this girl in death with the description of "amazing". I have made numerous attempts to honestly learn more about this girl, nobody, not a single post gave any info about anything she did or attempted to do in her life that would merit such accolades. People called me names and tried to insult me but nobody delivered the goods. Furthemore I have not seen any follow up stories or articles to indicate she was anything other than average. Nothing wrong with that, I am certainly just an average guy myself. Unfortunately I took it upon myself to point out that there is nothing amazing about doing something that could have easily resulted in serious injury or death to many others. What would everybody be saying if she had crashed into a vehicle and killed a truly "innocent" person?
Her family is lucky she didn't. Why did they have to go on TV with their lawsuit? If their cause was truly noble and they truly wanted to insure this wouldn't happen to someone else they didn't need to go on TV. By going on TV her name was in the top 100 searches of Google and Yahoo for the next 5-6 days. It was a legal maneuver to bring her story back to the front of the news and bolster their case against CHP by causing all the gore mongers to search for her pictures.
Well thought out legal maneuvers and PR stunts are not the sign of a grieving struggling family.
People that are truly grieving usually seek solitude and don't seek out TV coverage.

i feel sorry for the familys loss i dont blame them for sueing for two millon dollars if it was one of my kids and that happend to me i would have sued for more than that for god sake that was ther child who ever did that with the pictures i hope some day they will go through what this family went through then they will no how they felt she did not ask to die it happend god just chosed to take her that way for raesons that no one will ever know but him and her god bless your family

1) They are suing for 20 million not 2

2) She didn't ask to die - how do yo know, are you God, MAYBE just MAYBE she knew if she drove over 100 she could put an end to her perceived miserable life. Of course maybe not. Can you contribute something meaningful to this discussion..ie. why making sure TV cameras were in their home to broadcast to all of SoCal that these pictures were on the internet ?

You mention God in your thread, what God is it you pray to that doesn't believe in foregivness ? what God do you pray to that doesn't tell you to turn the other cheek. What book do you choose to associate with this God you speak of. The King James bible is very clear in Mathew when Jesus says that Christian men should keep their differences out of public courts and he further says "do not trouble me with you sinful arguements", do you read the bible ? or just another "quote the bible when it feels good christians".

Tell us one way how a law suit against the entire CHP and the state of Califorina will do any good.

Tell us why a grieving family couldn't keep their grieving private, pursuit their lawsuit in a noble manor to prevent this form happening to someone else and keep it in the courts.
