Urban chicken movement taking roost

Chickens could be coming to roost in a backyard near you. Across the country, people are joining the national urban chicken movement, sometimes turning outlaw to raise the birds.

Food produced at home reduces energy use. reduces the cost of food to the producer, provides fresh and safe food, and reduces the demand for illegals aliens in the food industry. A reduction in the number if illegals reduces crime in your area!

I think it's a great idea and have been toying with getting a few
chickens to produce eggs. Here's the thing. If it's made legal,
you'll get a certain element of people raising chickens in filthy
conditions and you'll have unregulated slaughtering going on.
So while I agree with you, there are also drawbacks.

When people wake up and realize we ARE in the midst of Great Depression 2, they will have no choice but to go back to basics to survive.
