London - a third world city? Not 10 years ago when I was there. Favorite thing there?
You've been to these places just once and that too years ago, so the discernment is not be there.

To know a place under its skin you should travel to the same places often and visit at different seasons to get the real picture and you must stay for at least a fortnight in different locations each time. Besides, you must not only visit the tourist haunts like for instance Bond Street, Kensington or Saville Row in London. You must visit the various pockets and quarters of a place to know its ins and outs.

London and well the UK in general is overrun by uncivilized immigrants from the underdeveloped nations who've brought with them their filthy national habits and beliefs and who're trying to outbreed the locals especially the Muslims from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh and the blacks from the Carribean nations with most living on the fringes of the economy or on welfare and the British simply do not have the means to cope and additionally their indigenous population has lost its cutting edge and are wallowing in the cesspool of tardiness, inefficiency, alcoholism and sensualism. Crime rate is soaring and the race divide is frightening. The infrastructure and hygiene is not up to the mark there's dirt and grime in most places and costs are too high for the facilities on offer.

You must visit truly civilized cities like Zurich, Geneva, Vienna or Innsbruck in Europe for the charm, character, efficiency, beauty and style.

Aside from holidaying, let us see how much time we have left to enjoy a little peace and sanity before the world sinks into war and chaos....

Hey MAAT, The LOON,

Why don't you begin by showing all the inconsistencies, perversions and trash filling up the Jewish scriptures, for a change?

I guess you've heard of the saying - cleanliness begins at home?

Read my post carefully:
"The IDEAL range for pH in swimming pool water is 7.0 - 7.6 "
The stress is on the word "ideal".
I didn't say that was the actual pH of swimming pool water.
rabbee: yeah! lets just make the water right, for breeding either fungus or bacteria. and 7.0 is considered neutral for anything. and anything above that is a base, and anything below that is an acid. and fungus, love a slightly alkaline enviroment. and bacteria love slightly acid. and is the main reason why penicillin, works so well against bacteria. and does not work, well for controlling fungus. since bacteria and fungus, are constantly at war with each other. trying to get, the upper hand on each other.

ACIDS:
We say that acidity is due to the presence of hydronium ions (H3O)+ in aqueous solution.
H2O ---------- H++ OH-
(1 mole)(1 mole)(1 mole)
H2O + H+---------H3O)+
But, it does appear that hydronium ions are unstable and short-lived and are as such hard to detect. So, acidity, it appears boils down to the concentration of hydrogen ions in aqueous medium.
pH + pOH = 14.
Makes little sense since everything can be expressed either in terms of acidity or basicity - example:
1) 0 = Maximum acidity or minimum basicity
2) 14 = maximum basicity or minimum acidity
So, either scale can be used.
PS: I am not referring to Lewis acids/bases
rabbee: water in an, aqueous solution? where in the world, have you found dehydrated water? and can we market it, with the instructions of just add water? H2O, is the written acidic formula like H2SO4. since HOH is the, written form for a base like KOH.

HOH is written to illustrate mechanism of reaction or better as H - OH.

H2O is its molecular formula.

You mean HSO4^-1 is the acid anhydride of the Arrhenius acid H2SO4.

KOH or caustic potash is an alkali - a water soluble base.

Dissociation reactions to form H+ ions in aqueous medium.

HCl ------ H++ Cl-

H2O ------ H++ Cl-

HNO3 ----- H++ NO3-

H2SO4 -------- H++ HSO4-

HSO4-------- H++ SO4^2-

H3PO4 ------- H++ H2PO4^2-

H2PO4^2--------- H++ HPO4-

HPO4---------- H++ PO4^3-

and so on...

Fool,

HCN is a very weak acid and so it would hardly furnish many CN^-1 radicals in water.

Besides, HCN is a volatile compound and so even its vapors are highly poisonous.

What would be the right form of representing the cyanide radical:

CN^-1 ? Or CN^1-?

ELEMENTARY ANALYSIS:

When 0.0088 g of compound A was dissolved in 0.50 g of camphor, the melting point of camphor was lowered by 8 degree C. The chemical composition of A suggests that it contains 68.18% C and 13.16 % H.

Compound A showed the following reactions:

a) It reacted with acetyl chloride and evolved hydrogen with Na.

b) When it reacted with HCl + ZnCl2, a dense oily layer separated out immediately.

K(f) for camphor = 40 kg/mol

Next, compound A was passed over Al2O3 at 350 degree C to give compound B which on ozonolysis followed by hydrolysis gave 2 neutral compounds C and D.

C and D both gave positive test with carbonyl reagents but only C gave a positive test with Fehling's solution and resinous mass of NaOH.

QUESTION: Identify A, B, C and D and give their structures. Write all the reactions involved.

An ordinary question:

A dealer has a scheme according to which each toy with a sticker sells for $1. If 3 stickers are returned, you get 1 more toy with a sticker.

A boy has $ 15 and intends buying those toys to take advantage of the scheme.

With $ 15, how many toys can he buy in all?

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
