This planned public protest seems counterproductive. UnitedHealth won't encourage Congress to propose a public option, has no incentive to change their position, and their stockholders wouldn't tolerate it. Interfering with their business just slows their service to insureds, and doesn't help anybody.

Thanks, you idiots, for making the pro-reform side look stupid. It's thoughtless actions like this that give more weight to the anti-reform redneck tea baggers on TV.

Maybe if these people had simply lobbied their congressional reps and senators, they might have actually accomplished something. Ah, who am I kidding. Reform is doomed along with our country's future as long as special interests have us by the balls.

Wow, you mean they didn't arrest CEO Stephen Hemsley instead? I guess the police don't serve and protect Americans who actually have inconvenient things like Christian morals or a soul.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Cancer

It's a sensational Full Moon in your sign, combined with a lunar eclipse! Holy cow! However, once you accept that even the best-laid plans could go awry today, you'll find that life is a lot easier to cope with. Try your hardest to take everything in your stride, even if you do have to rethink an arrangement at the eleventh hour. At least it's never a dull moment! Do your best not to let the tensions of the day spoil what promises to be some spectacular New Year's Eve celebrations. It will be an opportunity to let off steam. Have fun!
