Well it has been a whole month! Just weeks after 17-day Hawaii vacation Michelle hits the slopes with daughters on Aspen ski trip.

With the economy on its knees, many American families have had to forgo their annual holiday just to make ends meet.

But barely a month after returning from a luxury Christmas break in Hawaii Michelle Obama is on holiday again - this time at the exclusive Colorado ski resort of Aspen. It's her 16th holiday since her husband took office.

The First Lady Michelle Obama is spending Presidents' Day weekend in the upmarket resort with her daughters, Sasha and Malia, and was seen hitting the slopes - albeit apprehensively - on Saturday.

The Obamas are staying at the home of Jim and Paula Crown, owners of the Aspen Skiing Co, the Daily News reported.
Last year the first lady gave a speech at their home, in front of about 150 supporters. Each paid between $1,000 and $10,000 to attend the joint fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee and President Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign.

How does this explain the $100 million trust fund Romney's kids have. Geez, you're worried about a vacation, while Mitt's mutts get a life long hiatus ? Pretty funny how they could buy an island, but you're bothered, because Obama can afford a visit.

If a person "Chooses" to use the wealth they "Earned" to purchase ANYTHING they desire, it is much different than a "Public Servant" using a "Position of Authority" to attain what the Productive have earned......

Hey, let's cut O-Bomb-ya some slack, shall we? The Warmonger-in-Chief needs a little R&R on the taxpayers' dime. After all, undeclared wars, interventions, etc. can really take the starch out of a guy!

Do you think it didn't cost anything for Bush to vacation at his ranch? Where did you get the $4M figure?

Exactly, If Mr Obamas handlers allowed him th set up his "Ranch" at the ACORN Street Front Orriface in Chicago where he was Groomed as the Perfect PC Candidate, and became enriched through the selling of his soul to become the Teleprompter-Reader-In-Chief.. ..I would be all for it.

www.google.com ; those figures were actually from the Huffington post. Don't even try and compare the costs between being at the private ranch vs. a public luxury resort. Is working from home (which is a lot of what Bush did) even a vacation? Also Ford was 34 years ago, why would anyone bring it up now?

I am not afraid to say that Google is a great tool to find tidbits such as that. The $4,000,000 cost came from several mainstream news sites.

Also please don't even try and say the cost of Bush working from home (which is what nearly all of his vacations were) is anywhere near what it costs to secure a public luxury resort (which is where Obama vacations).

wasn`t the story about Mrs Obama?? not the president. besides the president is never on vacation. he has breifings and has to be ready to handle any emergency. its not like he can go out and get smashed and sleep til noon the next day.

But the SS does not comment on security procedures, and that includes costs, so how do you know the figures are correct?

Again, the similarity of the skiing vacation and the recession that Ford had going at the time,(which you kinda missed)make it a relevent comparison.
