I'm sure the point "Crime Riddled was required" especially considering the crime rate is down ~ 15%, murders are off almost 50% which suggests that Lt. Edwards did a lousy job in the neighborhood, right?

Edwards has been out of the loop for quite a while.

Note to Attorney: The Feds don't just take on investigation because a Police Chief asks. In general, when the FBI looks into a problem, there is a high probablity they have serious allegations against someone. There conviction rate is very high.

I predict these two attorneys are going to look stupid in the future for making this statement. "No comment would be much better." If the two employees are involved in violation of Federal Law, Chief Dolan should sue the two attorney's for defamation.

Finally, two or three city council members already have been convicted by the Federal government for corruption. Minneapolis has a lot of problems, it starts with the council and mayor.

First rule of the "brotherhood" don't break rank. Once Edwards stopped being Dolan's "boy" he couldn't wipe his @ss without an "investigation" being launched.

Payback is a be-otch and Dolan don't play. As for the "integrity" of the FBI, most police chiefs went through the FBI academy--just federal cops, same rules apply.

There could be vaild reasons, but this always happens. When the crime rate starts going down in Mpls. lawsuits and accusations start popping up. Then the city has to pay out settlements, less money is available for public services, and the crime rate goes way up again. Maybe it could be called cyclical liberal governance.

FYI Agent Bauer...Chloe *is* O'Brien. Also, you shot and killed Curtis, so he's not gonna be joining any PD.

Some cops suck, most are good. Do what you get paid to do and then go home. Like any job.

i'm here...the story just came out and still reading about it. but if the fbi is involved, these people need to rethink who they have ties with.

Cops are tops with me. One cop in particular helped our family through a crisis.

It is a VERY tough job. And with all the horrible humanity they enounter, any less of a person would never, ever choose law enforcement.

There are very special people who become cops.

So honor the police. And pray for them all!

I am glad there are still people who have good experiences with the police. It proves there are still some who have a conscience. They are becomming fewer and fewer. Once an innocent person has been burned by power hungry officers who drag you into something, trash your life just because they can and then walk away thinking they did a great job, you will never trust them again. I have been told it shouldn't ever happen like this but reality is what it is. I would sooner handle any situation myself, if that is not possible I would bring in a Sheriff's Deputy for a witness before the PD. I come from a law enforcement family and my confidence in the whole police association has been terribly eroded. I will never trust them again. I had been taught to believe in the system, it should prevailed, sadly it did not.

This is just too strange. I have worked with Lee Edwards, but I never thought he would jam himself up on something like this. What I see from other media stories is that this also involves Ron Edwards (no relation). Say what you will about Ron, agitator, pariah, advocate, whackjob, etc., It wouldn't surprise me if some of the dirt hits him

About time they started holding these pigs acountable to the same standards as their residents. I hope somebody gave them a good beat down too. Maybe a plunger up the ass.
