Love is love and it belongs to everybody

Freedom to Marry released a video entitled "Grandparents" today. Like many Minnesotans, Yvonne and Fred Peterson from Duluth used to think that gays and lesbians shouldn't marry. But also like many Minnesotans, they've changed their minds.

Yvonne: We got married September 5th, 1953.
Fred: These 59 years have basically been the happiest years of my life. I fought for the basic freedoms for all people.

Yvonne: If someone had asked if gay people should get married, I would have said no.

Fred: The world is changing. Gay people want to get married for the same reasons I wanted to marry my wife. Why shouldn't other people get to enjoy the happiness and love that we've enjoyed through our lifetimes.

Yvonne: Love is love and it does belong to everybody.

Yeah, I saw that stupid video. They must have Alzheimer's or something.

They have abandoned their roots, values, and history, thinking that taking this position will grant them a seat in Heaven, when in fact, most gays don't believe in God, or Heaven.

It's all about the MONEY, the tax breaks, the ability to give gays more power to contribute to the heathen uber-left. That's the only thing that this is about. Gays don't need government's blessing to love one another. If it was only about "love", this wouldn't even be an issue. "gay marriage" is an OXYMORON.
