Heckuva legal job Norm. Every time you appeal you lose more ground. Hey after you get you bribery conviction, you might want to consider not appealing and quit while your behind--er maybe you'll be in front by that time.

coloradoan,
So your argument is that Norm making sure that all voters are represented in this election is, according to you, making Minnesota look "ridiculous"? Your post is from an unique point of view and clearly not Minnesotan.

Here's a difficult question for you (someone who apparently does not care about Minnesota voters), why not count all votes and be done with it instead of cherry picking ballots?

No doubt you "don't get" the understanding that a good number of us, in Minnesota, believe that everyone's voice is important not just a handful of cherry picked ballots while ignoring thousands of other legitimate voters' ballots.

On what rational basis is Norm filing an appeal and what exactly is he appealing. Is he appealing the victory and asking for the vote itself to be overturned in his favor. Or as suggested is he trying to make the case that the votes that he fought to have included don't really count now and therefore a re-casting of ballots is in order? This is turning into a whole embarassing mess. Who is paying for this...

How can it be a legal election when there were more ballots than actual people registered to vote? ACORN at it's best!! God help us here in the USA!!

Mad Jack,
Is your post supposed to be a riddle?
What makes today different than any other day in this false tally recount process where 133 Phantom ballots have diluted the true count which Phantom ballots are nonexistent and cannot obviously be counted in a physical manual hand count in accordance to the 2008 state law and where 4,800 ballots similarly situated to others already counted have not been allowed?

Do you ever let facts get in the way of your opinion-forming process?

Didn't think so.

Maybe some day you can play with the big boys, but for now it's time to sit back in your corner.

kwoods - nice fluff of blah but if what you prose was close to being true the Gov would have chimed in, the Republikan Party would be screaming, and Rush Limbaugh would be popping more pills and huffing and puffing on the radio. I can only imagine it the roles were reversed!! You would be bursting arteries over how Franken would concede.

besides, after what you republican "money is no object" lovers spent from 2000-2008, after what you have done to our economy, after starting Vietnam II in Iraq, you should all keep quiet and try and fix your Party. Coleman exemplifies what you guys have turned into. Party First, American Second.

Not everyone in Minnesota hates Franken [with an e]I think Coleman is making a fool of himself. He seems desperate! He lost on the first count,[ and tryed to cheat] will lose on the second, and now he wants a third count. What a waste of time. Too bad the Bush thing did'nt work out for him maybe he needed a Bush brother in office the first time.

Have these people ever considered the concept called "consistency" in how they count votes? "Some we'll count, some we won't; some have more ballots than votes cast, some have more votes cast than ballots to back them up; some squiggles look like they are for this guy, some doodles makes me think they are voting for that guy."

My God, what a joke.

What a stupid way to run an election; and what a stupid precedent to set. Just remember, even if its "your guy" whose benefiting from this nonsense today, this could happen again, and next time, "your guy" guy might not be so lucky.

C.W. Bill Young , R-Fla., with Victory Political Action Committee; and Marcy Kaptur , D-Ohio, with the TrueDem Leadership Fund.
Two other Appropriations Committee members filed late: Sen. Patty Murray , D-Wash., tied to M-PAC; and Rep. David R. Obey , D-Wis., who has the Committee for a Progressive Congress.
Another cosponsor who also neglected to file was Rep. Brad Sherman , D-Calif. He is listed as honorary chairman of the Southern California Fund.
Two other cosponsors of the law who, like Conyers, filed two days late were Sen. Patrick J. Leahy , D-Vt., and Sen. Robert Menendez , D-N.J. Leahy controls the Green Mountain PAC and Menendez’s PAC is known as New Millennium.

Lawmakers Slow to Comply With New Filing Requirement

http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm...

Scores of lawmakers missed a deadline to start disclosing their ties to political action committees as required by law.
Some of them were sponsors of the law that imposed the new requirement.
Such widespread failure to officially declare their connections to so-called “leadership PACs” means it may be some time before voters can see whether their senators and representatives have auxiliary funds that let them distribute money separately from their re-election committees.
The new disclosures were due at the Federal Election Commission by March 29.
The deadline was set by the FEC as it implemented a larger campaign finance overhaul law passed in September 2007 (PL 110-81). While more than 230 lawmakers met the deadline, a significant number with known connections to leadership PACs did not .
They include: Reps. John P. Murtha , D-Pa., who controls the Majority PAC; Todd Tiahrt , R-Kan., who runs Heart PAC; Peter J. Visclosky , D-Ind., with Calumet PAC; Alan B. Mollohan , D-W.Va., with Summit PAC; C.W.

Watching the past 8-years of the Republican party self-destruct has been fascinating. One would think they would have the best Public Relations/Political Advisors in the Country on payroll to help them back to relevance. Instead, they continue to let the public voices and actions of the Party to be that of Sara Palin, Michele Bachmann, Norm Coleman, Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh. Sad, so very sad.

Kwoods-just because you can put together a long post, doesn't mean it is correct. Thanks for taking all of the right wing spin(minus ACORN, what gives?) and combining it into one long rant.
