Full story: TwinCities.com

The Vikings jumped out to a 14-0 lead not even two minutes into the game Sunday ... and they deferred the opening kickoff.

OMG....I just can't take Gus anymore...he just takes the pleasure out of any Viking win for me anymore! Lets look at his stats that get worse and worse each week:

12/20 120yrds 0 TDS 1 INT 56.3 passer rating.

Is that better than TJ can do? is it really...cause if you believe that I got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you gus homers/TJ Haters...and even if it is I will take TJ and his 4 runs for first downs and 4 throw aways instead of sacks in a game....every time!

I swear he tries to lose the game each week but sometimes the team just has enough will (AD, Defense, Taylor) to prevent that. He has finally made the transformation to truly bad QB....he can no longer make the routine plays...anybody notice how he almost fumbled the snap again late in the 4th lol...I guess dumb luck decided to chip in this week for him. I know most of us are hoping (including 60% of the team) that he just somehow goes down with injury...but he just won't stay down!!!! Gus...stay down! Your freakin blowing our season you douche bag!

I rather lose with a mobile QB with young decision making and hope the rest of the team saves our ass like they have the last 5 weeks then scream at an immobile QB that has to check down each play because he can't avoid he rush, throw behind receivers, at their feet, or puts it to them just enough so they can get no RAC, throw stupid picks - sometimes for six, and take a sack when he could have thrown the ball away...he keeps the teams in the game each week plain and simple.

Argghh....why the hell didn't he stay down????

Also remember how they figured out AD last year...just run 8 in the box...this year they figured out old immobile Gus and his dangerous passing attack...just blitz all game and cover the backs and the check down receiver. Guaranteed Sack, pass incompletion, INT or 3 yrd pass completion...I'd take that from a offense all day long...would you?...oh I know he somehow gets long plays out of his checkdowns sometimes (nothing to do with him tho)...ahh folkes all QB's can get those in a game from time to time...its the rest of the game you are judged by in which he fails miserably....hence the close games each week.

FIRE CHILDRESS NOW!(like that Dan, right?)...yeah Dan lets just agree to disagree about jackson ok?

I agree that Frerotte is just awful. Poor decisions. Poor throws. Completely immobile. Turnover prone. TJack wasn't given a chance and couldn't possibly play any worse that Frerotte is playing right now. Thank goodness for AP and several strong players on defense.

Good day to be buyin' hmmmm McNabb bet could be had could run this team while we get a real coach with Super Bowl possibilities hhhhmmmmm (Cowher) and draft/trade for one of the young talent who could be cut loose Anderson/Palmer. But kudos to Chili for sticking to discipline and sitting Peterson/and defensive back who can't be on time. Discipline equals wins in the tight games. Go Vikes I see playoffs with continued learning and control.

Agree with Presley, what a team we would a had with Farve in Minn. WOW! And to the coach and GM in Green Bay you need a pink slip now not later what a bunch of talentless losers you proved to be. And Farve is a winner now and in the future....Farve is talent and you two are the definition of loser in the dictionary go check it out.

Well, at least Williamson didn't drop any passes today for the Jags. He has more drops in his career than the entire 82nd Airborne Divison.

On a less positive note, McNabb got benched, Andy Reid is one more loss from being ridden out of town on a rail.... If Zygi DOESN'T fire Klink, guess who he's going after for a qb next year....

btw, i'll be at the dome next sunday night in my Alan Page #88 throwback... hopefully it brings us luck against 'da boars.

Not impressed another win against a horrible team that spotted 14 points its a win yeah but this team still can't beat a winning team and most games has trouble against losers. And for those of you calling for Tjoke next year you can have him and Donnovan they both keep the same place warm the bench no Qb's on this team Time for a Booty call

I don't want to complain...our team won. Yet Gus is making rookie QB mistakes; he should know enough to throw the ball away rather than take that sack at the sidelines, or throw a wild interception. Gus is regressing. Bring back TJack if he falters again. I give Gus credit for toughness, but Childress should have pulled him rather than let him take such a beating. There was a certain point in the second half that Gus really didn't represent our best chance to win the game; Childress should have left Jackson in there.

the long pass to shaincoe (he might have gotten run down) would have been a touchdown had any other QB thrown that ball. goose threw it probably three feet behind him. GOOSE, STAY DOWN. DO IT BUDDY. i know you think your team is counting you and you want to help, but you are not.
what the hell is klink thinking, having the goose roll out in play action? the guy can barely run, but his lateral movement is non existent.
AD and Chester are the best two football players on this team. why are they not on the field at the same time more often? don't care if its split, chester in the slot, or chester being QB in a wildcat. Tavi could play a wildcat. i said it from week one, he is not a great QB but with our rushing ability he, AD and chester would be far more threatening then goose trying to run a f#c#5ng bootleg out of playaction. it really seems noticeable that AD is frustrated with his usage or lack there of.
D is starting to show its dominance. first half was shaky but they laid the smack down in the second. K. Williams reeked havoc again and antoine winfield has been the best DB in the NFL. even sharper looked like not a complete POS, except when cedric griffen had the ball on the second fumble and sharper tackled him away from the ball and fortunately recovered it himself. cedric has actually gotten better.
once again, all this boils down to FIRE BRAD CHILDRESS!

So using your logic, I figured since the Rams destroyed the Cowboys and the Cowboys embarrassed the Pukers at Lameblow - that must mean the Rams are a much better team than the Pukers.

Childress laughed aloud heartily again on his pleasant plane ride back to MSP, as he read all the wonderful web posts from his many determined detractors. Please keep these gems coming! The Chiller is gratefully delighted with how much he can actually get under your skins and still win football games. He's no doubt staying up late tonight, just thinking up new plays now for Chicago, with the sole intention of ruining your Sunday night again next week. He loved hearing the announcers and callers on KFAN postgame and wretching over another Viking victory. How come no one called in to say how great Mike Tice is and how much they wished he were back?
