We MUST reduce gas consumption. If we continue to burn gas at our normal rate the price of gas will increase a lot by election time and that may become an issue and people might think President Obama is the cause of high gas prices.

CLEARLY our President IS NOT the cause of high oil prices.

So in order to ensure gas prices stay low we must conserve by driving less and buying efficent cars like the Chevy Volt.

Thank you for your cooperation.

We must also remember that most of the voters in Minnesota have no sense of humor , don't know what sarcasm is, and have never heard of irony. LOL

And most of them, apparantly, didn't catch the logic flaw in it either...

Sarah.. in response

(Sarcasm on)... LMAO.. THANKS.. FOR THE JOKE OF THE DAY. The only Gulf of Mexico drilling permit he's handed out was to a foreign country... American companies need not apply. Gas was $1.80 a gallon the day he took office and now it's twice as much. He just refused the Canadian pipeline which would have reduced our dependence on foreign oil and would have supplied up to 200,000 high paying jobs, while lowering the price of gasoline. The Chevy Volt is dead in the water.. NOBODY wants it and only rich people can afford it beside the fact it's batteries start of fire. In reality the Volt is a coal powered car since it requires a coal fired electricity plant to recharge it...(Sarcasm off)

And pulled our troops out of Iraq because of his promise to do so. Now watch in the coming months as instability takes over that craphole country and drives our oil prices higher and higher.

SO, you criticize him for not pulling out, then when he does, you take another shot ? Did I get it "right" ? Wonder why we went to Iraq in the first place, do you remember ? LMAOROTF ! Conserve gas, because we care about future generations.

if it's our usge that controls the price (saving gas sot he price will go down as you stated...) then it is NOT the president's fault that gas prices are what they are. it is the supply and demand you suggested it is.

thanx for your input.

good to know that also bush wasnt responsible for gas prices, we dont need no pipeline for gas to increase our supply.

That certainly wouldn
t help with gas prices in this term or in his next.

I thought that the Athabascan oil was very difficult to refine into gasoline and would most likely be refined for other uses?

most of our oil in minnesota comes from canada, it is not real sweet crude and has some added cost in refining but it is cheaper than some with transport costs, there is other numerous policies that have stopped oil production in the near past that could have been here by now. Oil will continue to go up as ways of getting it are more expensive than just drilling.

I noticed you danced around the gist of his post, in typical democrat fashion. And what's with this "next term", nonsense? Surely you jest.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
