Sense wrote: Interesting side note to this election. My eight year old just got back from trick or treating. One of the other boys was sporting a McCain full head cover and would say 'vote for me' when the door was answered. The Mother that was hauling the kids around said that some homes gave him less candy, and some actually voiced their disgust. I guess it's the kids fault for politicizing halloween. Better yet...If a kid was wearing the Obama mask, he could have demanded 40% of what the door answerer had and redistributed it to those he felt were most in need...OR TOO LAZY TO GET A JOB!...(Oh that sounds so harsh for those poor, underprivilidged people in need-B.S.B.S.B.S.B.S.B.S.B.S)

They should outlaw Election day politicking. I mean, no standing on the corners of busy intersections waving your signs, no standing the required distance from the polling places waving your signs, none of that. Election day should mark the end of campaigning on both sides and let the people decide without being inundated for one last time before they vote. If you don't know who you're voting for on Election day, you shouldn't be voting because you are most likely an idiot.

Is THAT what the "Federation Petition" was about. I steered clear of that table because it smacked of some creepy right wing anti-democracy fringe group. It seemed like they were encroaching on the polling site and I didn't care for that

To St Paul's finest: If your not getting paid enough you should look for work elsewhere. Taking people's names when they are trying to vote IS intimidation. Like the article stated "There are people who could have unpaid parking tickets, people who have unpaid speeding tickets who might just turn right around because it's just not worth their time to take that risk of having to walk past a police officer in order to exercise their constitutional right to vote." I know several such people who would do just that. BTW they are all Republican and American. This is not just a INS or african - American issue.

Or illegal aliens trying to vote could have been deterred by the Policía presence. /sarcasm Fluffy wrote: To St Paul's finest: If your not getting paid enough you should look for work elsewhere.
