He should have to sell something to get the money or borrow it.

How can you not know that your brother is running a pot facility inside his house? Tim Dolan should be asked why he turned a blind eye while his brother is selling drugs to kids on the street.

yep one more person to the justice system. He will be less than poor once he finishes with this scam of a system.

The police stole all of his possessions for their benefit and now we need a public defender (we pay for) to defend him. Yes that make ssense but the cops have their money right off the top and he isn't even proven quilty yet.

This is a stupid way to run the country. The war on drugs is a jobs program at best and it protects no one.

Such stupidity but yes it will continue and more non-violent people will be put in the "system".

This is the ugly side of republicans and started by republicans to seek control of certain people.

If TwinCities.com is going to list family members of those who are arrested they should be consistent across the board. I didn't see the family members listed of the Gopher players who assaulted the University of Minnesota woman and Dominic Jones videotaped it with a cell phone camera. Leave the Chief out of it, he is not part of the story or list all family members of those who are arrested.

It is good the government will pay for his attorney. I'm sure he transferred any money he had to relatives - auto's - home equity etc. The taxpayers will pay for his legal representation.

Why is this even being reported on? Because of who his brother is? It seems silly to be reporting on this case. I am sure there are several others similar in the court systems now that we aren't hearing about. We shouldn't be singling people out because of who they are related too. You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family and you sure shouldn't be held in the spotlight for their mistakes. Seems the guy is a "big boy" and can be accountable for his own actions. Must be a slow reporting day...

As far as the no contact that surely comes in handy. But The Chief has a lot of bad seeds around him ON THE FORCE. Thank goodness the muderer that fired 9 over kill shots into Fong Lee was fired. Now along with disownig his brother maybe he can clean house on the dirty cops that contiune to steal and beat the hell out of people while unknowingly on video tape. I truly believe he is broke but a good pair of scissors can relesae him from the tail attached to his head. The guy looks a mess you almost want to feel sorry for him, on drugs, no job, and probably homeless shortly. But the dirty secret in the family is out RUN CHIEF DOLAN RUN, GET AWY FROM THE PRESS. Maybe you should help your brother instead of trying to save face.. You have had a very bad year thanks to your dirty cops on the take and meth head brother. Hope 2010 works for you.

Oh, poor baby. Isn't there a "bailout" program for this guy? He's a victim. Obama must have something for drug-using, indigent brothers of judges. If not, then the administration must start something.

You're making quite a leap going from "has some pot in his house" to "selling drugs to kids on the street." Do you have evidence to back up that claim? I didn't think so. And I suppose you know everything that your brother or sister is doing, every day, all the time?

This man is not even being given the chance to prove his innocence. With all of the negative publicity, he has been found guilty in all of the papers.

Our country certainly has lost our bearings. Innocent until proven guilty used to mean something.

yah what about his thrift savings account. He's worked at he post office for a long time. Probaly has over 100k. And when you work for the post office if you tell them oh I'm an alcholic or drug addict your sure to keep your job. cus they'll pay to treat you and never ask for a urine test after you've completed treatment.
