Don't confuse that individual with the facts. I am eagerly voting across the board for GOP candidates in November but it wasn't worth my time to brave the weather to vote in yesterday's primary.

Sharon- I truly enjoy your nuttiness. While others may not appreciate how you post rambling screeds that read like you cut and pasted random paragraphs from poorly translated travel guides, I find them fascinating. Really. You are one of a kind. I only wish you had run as a republican for governor, so that they would have had a more mentally stable option.

Bob wrote: <quoted text> Exactly. This guy doesn't have a chance in the general election. I would think most sane Minnesotans can see Dayton for what he really is a tax tax and more tax and spend liberal who will only grow government more than it is now. Emmer looks to be on an easy path to victory. I wish I could agree with you but I think liberal Minnesotans WILL vote for him, because most are NOT sane. Class envy is alive and well in this state and growing everyday. Dems here have a history of picking the most liberal anti-business pro-social entitlements candidates that they can. All on the backs of people who have made good choices, educated themselves, started their own businesses, THESE are the people Dayton will stick it to.

I cannot stand Margaret Kelliher, I'm so thankful the democrats in this state went with Mark Dayton, even if it was only by 5000 votes. It just shows how split the party is, between a uber-liberal whack job like Margaret, and wll a much less liberal Mark Dayton. I am voting for Emmer myself, I don't love him, but I don't despise him either. I hope our state can now move on to Novemeber, pick whoever and the years will pass on one after the other without much of a hiccup. Which Margaret would have been. maybe not "we shocked the world" hiccup but more ego-driven, gays must be married, tax the crap out of you hiccup.

It's Republican crossover votes that have put the most beatable DFLer on top... until November, that is. You can't pin this one on republicans, they didn't make this kook run. Dayton's win is a gift to the GOP from stupid democrat voters. This is a guy who bought a senate seat and proceeded to humiliate himself by running for cover when the terror alert level was raised. Thanks DFL!

Seriously! The collective republican panties are really in a bunch this morning upon learning that their worst nightmare was realized, and Mark Dayton all but secured himself the Governor's Mansion with his victory last night. It makes sense to be ashamed of Tom Emmer. He is a train wreck that keeps careening off the tracks. I am confident that the DFL could have voted a ficus through last night and it would beat Emmer 2-1.

Support Dayton for better times for all of Minnesota. Well, except those he decides to steal from. Unbelievable people would vote for someone who admitted he would solve all the budget problems with taxes. Only in Minnesota.

They didn't make him run, but they shrewdly provided the margin of victory, knowing he'll be the most beatable DFLer in November. All it took was an average of 1.5 Republican votes for Dayton in each precinct (6,105-vote lead divided by the 4,112 precincts reporting).

I believe, Her Largeness Queen of the Moonpie people, will let us know at 3:00 pm that she is going to lobby for Little Debbies Inc. effective immediately. I bet she is kicking herself that she did not go at least a tad bit negative on Dayton to sway some over. Emmer's surrogates will not make that mistake. I just like the fact that Melendez, Sertich, Tincher, Large Marge, and the whole DFL State Party apparatus just got a mean punch in the gut last night .

Kelliher is already showing her "support" for the democratic process. Guess she thought that the DFL endorsement made her a shoe-in. Glad to see that the outstate (esp St. Louis County) votes made the difference in this race. The Dayton win looks like a consensus to me. How's that unity rally going at the state capitol lawn going, btw?

Pleeeease don't let this mean Robyne Robinson is going back on the local news scene. Ch 9 and all local news channels are much better w/out her. Go spend someone else's family fortune. Go Emmer!
