Good disciplined job by Tavaris coming in cold like that. Hope the league fines the cheap shot on Allen the way they have been fining him!!

With the Lions motivation to avoid going 0 - 16, and the fact the Vikings had all the distractions last week, this was a hard fought victory.

Frerotte is looking a bit worn out, so maybe it's time for TJ to finish off the season (with a run of wins). Gus has done more than his share for this team this year...his role should be to fill in for a few games as needed, but not every game.

To those of you who are ripping the Vikings for barely beating the Lions, the 1969 Bud Grant coached Superbowl team beat SF 10-7 and GB 9-7. Ugly wins count as wins!

Finally Gus stayed down!...hopefully Chilly doesn't blow this new momentum (with a fresh QB at the helm) and switch back to the INT king. Was that gus who fought Pacqy last night...cause I couldn't tell as both him and DeLaHoya are both washed up...way to play with a sense of urgency Vikes...lets hope the ruling comes back in our favor.

Can we get the Tarvaris detractors to represent please...what?...can't hear you...what...speak up!

I'm a Vikings fan and I have no love for the Packers, but you're still an idiot.

So the Vikes win and the first thing you do is post about the Packers. Dude you need to see someone about your Packer envy.

a win is a win is a win...again we struggled ( the first half we couldn't get out of our own way) but we did put it together at half time ( i think the hit on ja was the turning point, we seemed to play with an edge after that...i hope the league fines his a s s as they did to ja so often...that was classless)...thanks also to marinelli for the 4th and 1 try and no fg attempt. this is for ca...i give credit where it is due...carjack played well...however some credit must also go the beavis...he kept the plays simple...running, swing passes etc. the one time tj tried the long pop...he overshot bb. one game does not make a career...but as i said , he did well off the bench...so good job. lastly...loved the win...TKAE A HIKE KLINK...GO VIKES!!!

Geez, I was hoping for a more relaxing game, but I'll take this one, no doubt about it.

Why all the fuss about the Pack. They are a has-been team. I wish we could just ignore the GB posters. What's the difference.

Hope ActionJackson stays in there for next week.

Purple maybe he overthrew him on purpose on that long ball...rush bearing down..that was the play called and Berrian looked to be covered...will need more evidence to see if he hasn't mastered that part of the game yet...but I know it was one game...but their can be no arguement that he gives us the best chance to win the rest of the way...unless you missed Gus's 2 picks in the first half to go along with the bushel he has already...Gus is done!...we need to see if riding the pine has did the kid any good before we go shopping for a QB next season...and before any of you go endorsing Cassel next season may I remind you of the tragic story of Derek Anderson...talk about iron pyrite (fools gold).

TJ is no "savior", but can anyone name a game in which Gus could be pointed to for winning for us? He certainly cost us the game at Chicago (4 ints), and he should have cost us a couple other games (namely at home against Green Bay-- 3 picks). He was well on his way to ruining our season against Detroit today with two ints in the first half. He is statuesque which only works for super models. Note I said this when TJ was first benched as well. Had we stuck with TJ he would have cost some games, but by now he would have been peaking, just as he did late last year (look at the stats). With TJ the Vikes have a mobile QB with a strong arm. Had he gained experience during the year, Minnesosta would have been in much better shape late this year. Instead Chilly folded under pressure and trusted a human statue who is a "never has been" in the NFL rather than a "could be" (TJ).
