Quotes by Smith out of context are not understandable. The writer should either explain the circumstances or leave the quotes out. Can't the PP find a staff that can get a whole story correctly: headline, text, quotes?

Great game. Really got OS in foul trouble and therefore had real chance at win. Excellent foul shooting!!! To call it a late rally is to miss the point.

When will the real Hoffarber show up?

Please wait...
smartie wrote: When will the real Hoffarber show up? as Hoffarber goes, so go the Gophers! When he's on, he can hit a three from just about anywhere, and when he's in that groove, this team is dangerous and could do some big time damage in the big tournament and that's what it's all about. The problem is that he is very inconsistant. Not just on his accuracy, but on his actual attempts. There have been a few games where his stats appear as though he is a bench player. Perhaps it's just good coaching and defense from the opposition. This team is missing that go to guy, and Hoffarber has the potential, or should I say, had the potential,as using the term for a Senior doesn't really make a whole lot of sense now does it? The season is young and I am excited to see how it turns out. Hopefully a great run in March.

When they started running they caught up in a hurry. Junk this half court offense Tubby-sheesh, what a bust . No wonder KY ran him out

Tubby is offensively challenged to say the least. OSU would pass pass pass and a shooter would be open. With the Gophers it's; pass dribble pass dribble dribble and throw up a desperation shot . Pathetic. They need to run and gun and junk this offense. Hoffarber c=ould then spot up and finally be open. Tubby is overrrated

It really appears that it is going to boil down to perimeter game for the Gophers...scoring and defending the three. Once that ball goes inside, it has to get up to the hoop though. Right now, Tubby needs to get them playing under control, the unforced TO's yesterday were aggravating as was the seemingly ease that OSU shot uncontested threes at critical moments. Need to wise this team up a bit.

I don't think tubby was being sarcastic because that is the first thing he's said post game that most basketball observers can agree on.
