a house in mineral wells texas

I do not want to come across as a nut nor as a ghost hunter.which I am not.But here goes,I lived in a house just out side of mineral wells texas in 1966 from janyuary till march.now the house was,if you were heading out towards palo pinto.was off a road to the right.maybe five miles frome mineral wells.the palo pinto drive in theater was not to far from the road we turned down.As far as i can remember our neighbors names were weaver or weavers.I think the weavers husbands name was hole or hoyt,also a daughter named Judy.the house we rented was rented by my brother-inlaw jerry bolding.Now to if any one knows where and if the house is still there,i wish they would let me know my email is charlieb1950@yahoo.com ther was some very strange things that happened in the house that i am very interested in finding out what was going on while we lived there.Iam from north carolina gastonia is the name of the town.I went out to mineral wells with my brother-inlaw and sister,to stay with my sister while he was on duty at ft wolthers.I am 57 years old now and have allways wondered what the explanation for the strange events.No!so called ghost hunters need to answer this post,unless you have had any strange events in your life like paranormal activties.I am serious.I have reported this to so called paranormal investigators,all i get is they will check it out.They are into the paranormal for monetary gain.I am not.I am getting close to being an old man,but i would like to know the history of the house,for my own curiosity.I am not going to be able to solve the strange happenings but i think if i knew the history of the house i might be able to settle the question in my own mind....cincerely charlie

when you leave mineral wells going towards palo pinto you are on hwy 180, was the house before you get to palo pinto ? could you see the house from the road? and it was on the right side or left of the road?
do you remember any details on what it looked like? next time i go that way(every few days) i can check...

DEAR JENNIFER, The way to the house was towards palo pinto.i would guess at least three miles.I can not remember if we went past the old palo pinto deive in,but it was close.The road was to the right,as far as i can remember a man had a junk yard on the right as you turned right to go down the road.The pople we had for our neighbors had the last name of weaver.Asfor mr,weavers first name it was either hoyl or hoyt.They had adaughter,her first name was judy,The house i am asking about was the next house down the road on the left.there was a gate we had to open to go down to the house.The house mst have down the drive way about two hundred feet.The house was at the end of the drive way,The house was an unasumming three room house and had a snall picket fence around it.Also there was a barn and what yall call a corrall ,may one hundred feet from the house.I hope you can find it.It may be gone after all these years,but if it is not i sure would like for you if you can to get me some pictures of where it was at.I am not into the paranormal as a hobby or anything like that.Its just that i had some very strange things that happened in that house ,that has pigued my imagination all of my adult life,as to what it was that caused these strange things to happen.We told our neighbors one night about the strange things,and mr. weaver told us he and his wife were wondering when would mention the strange happennings.I would like to say that what ever it was it was invisable,it had intent,and also a purpose.I think you may understand what i an trying ti say.I have never had anything like that to happen to me since.Also one more thing i had not thought strange back then,was that the cattle that was around the house never would come close to the house.even when we were not at home.I am getting to be an older man of 57 now and i would like to know that if the house still stands,my niece and i would like to visit the house.Its the only time that i have experienced anything like that.I have never seen a ghost or anything.But what we experienced was something strange and unique.I have watched these so called ghost hunters on tv,and i just smile to myself,what idiots.trying to make a buck with put on investigations.I know for a fact,because of my experience in that house was something that cannot be explained by science or so called ghost hunters.It most likely will never be resolved.But believe me there is something to it.Well that my story. Dear jennifer, I hope you have had a chance to find the house we were discussing.I sure appreciate any time or trouble that you have to go through to find the place.I have thought about it and i came to the conclusion that if mineral wells has grown alot,that theres a chance the house may have been torn down by now.Because it was 40 years ago that i lived out there.But still if you will check into it for me.I have read about the crazywater hotel being haunted,it may be.But i also know that there was a little 3 room house outside of mineral wells going towards palo pinto that was really haunted.I think that if you all have a historical society out there,they should hear my story.You could add that to the history of your town.I have looked at all the internet sites about mineral wells,but no mention of any haunted houses.BUT IF THERE IS A SUCH THING AS A HAUNTED HOUSE THAT I KNOW FOR SURE THAT THAT HOUSE WAS HAUNTED BY SOMETHING.i CAN NOT PROVE IT,BUT WHO CAN?Thank you again yours truly charles brooks

no it is not there any longer, has not been there in a really long time, had to ask some long time residents if they ever even heard of it but they had, it had just been many years ago...

well i dont know of the haunted house but that does not mean it does not exist....i do know that the baker is supposedly haunted if you go to texas ghost hunters you can hear the paranormal activity recorded and see the images that were taken by people who stayed there. mineral wells is fairly large there is probably about 20,000 people in the town, dont know exact number

jennifer, Thank you for looking.Like you said it was many years ago.I assume there must be new housing developments in that area by.Well it was worth a try.As for the BAKER being haunted,i have a tendancy to believe that it is,because of what i experienced in that house.Like i said before i will never get a rsolution to the strange things that went on in the house.If i had not experienced all thet in that house,i would be a skeptic myself.but there is something to a haunting,which i am sure no one will ever solve.I suppose that is the best.Just a Great MYSTERY. Jeeifer,i DID CONTACT THE TEXAS GHOST HUNTERS BEFORE I DID YOU.aLL THEY WANT IS TO MAKE A PROFIT OFF ALLEDGEDLY HAUNTED PLACES.But you see i wanted to get someone who is not interested in a haunted house,some one who would be a skeptic,a regular person.Who would not be prone to believe in ghosts.Because i know in my soul that the house i had you looking for was the real deal.But like i said thank you for finding out the info for me.It will just have to ne a memory of something that extraordinary,of something i experienced in my youth. Yes i would poga80.If hoyt can still remember about jerry bong and his wife catherine,ask him if he does and if you can,find out if the house down from hoyts is still there.If possible,i would would need a picture of the house,from the front. Jennifer,I downloaded google earth and looked for the house i had mentioned as being haunted.I think i have found it.Its on the left hand side of the road .the roads name is old north keller road.If you have google earth,it will only take you to the house.There was a white car sitting beside the house on google earth image.If,and i am sure its the same house,that house is haunted for sure.I am still a little bit skeptic of ghosts,but the experiences we had while we lived there,were supernatural or natural.I cannot say for sure.If you find out,who the people are,ask them if anything out of the ordinary,has ever happened there. thank you

I am still some what of a skeptic.I think aaa,must think i am making all this up about the house.But i am not.The things i saw were not a old woman in a black dress or and old man with a funny looking hat on.The things we experienced,were more,on the side of things moving,with out any help from human hands or help.If they can be explained,as a natural occurence,then i would be satisfied.I watch and have admired the amazing randi.I have saw him show how easily that you can be fooled into seeing something that really is not there,using slight of hand and so forth.Our neighbor mr.hoyt weaver told us that the only way that he could think of,why all the weird things happening,was due to the house was built out lumber from what you people out there would call a bunk house for hired ranch hands.I tend to lean his way,in just why all the strange things that went on,while we lived in the house.It is kind of funny in a way,because when i have watched ghost hunters on tv,i know that it is all fake.I have to smile at those fools,and say to myself,i have experienced the real deal,and it was quite remarkable at the same time. thats all i can say.
