Sheriff Corruption

Every negative stereotype you'll ever see on TV about Southern sheriffs' departments is true in Fannin County.
They enforce the law subjectively. For example, a man who beats up a woman and someone who shoots at children will get by without even a report filed on him but someone who reports abuse will be threatened with having her children taking away and a person who swears will be charged and arrested for disorderly conduct.
Fannin sheriff's deputies destroy evidence, lie and threaten people. They don't enforce the law; they're like cretinous Nazis who make their own laws.
Everyone thought Dane Kirby would make a difference but he not only doesn't know half of what goes on in the department, because it's kept from him, he's engaged in some unethical practices himself.

I do not live in Fannin County so I am not defending the sheriff, however, folks like you are a dime a dozen. How can you expect us to believe such talk if you cannot back it up. The first rule is, if you are going to run your mouth, have some proof with it. I am not disputing what you say as that would mean I would have to think you had validity in your statement, but I am saying, if you gonna tell it, you best be able to back it up. These forums are full of "she said , he said," "my cousin said so,""I know for a fact," all the way to "I wonder why," So, if you do not have any proof to your charges, shut the hell up.

I have dates, times, statements, witnesses and police reports. As for your remark that you don't live in the county..a dime a dozen, did you really not realize what an ignorant, stupid statement that is? See, this is what happens when you try and have a battle of wits with someone, the other side never has any ammunition. You have, you have, you have, if you have then show us the money big boy. This is all I want you and all the other "I want to be published want-to-be's" to see just how ridiculous you sound when you have, your cousin said so and I know for a fact sounds. If you know for a fact then share it and lets clean up the corruption. If you have the guts to say it you need to have the knowledge to prove it.

Targeted even more!!!! Man you must really be legend in your own mind as Dillinger himself did not live in this kind of fear. What kind of racket are you running? As you can tell by your own warped sensibility, I don't mind saying what I believe and if I need to prove to someone what I am saying then I will produce that proof. Even in a debate each side will have evidence of what they believe. But hearsay, the only product you have produced so far, will never be proof of anything except a feeble mind.

hey overdrive like you said you dont live here so dont take that kinda stand if you dont know your facts. till you have lived here stay out of it. its just that good ole boy thang they got here . look if kirby was any kinda sheriff he would put a stop to it,but as long as it dont bother what people he is dealing with it dont matter to him. it just like bill jones he has done what he wanted for years runs wrecks thats aginst the rotation list that is set down by the state but kirby dont have any BALLS about him just like every other sheriff we have had. so some body is gonna have to man up and do something . but what do you do. who do you talk to?

Sorry, but MY stand is full of facts. I do not not have to live in Fannin County to call someone on the rug for hearsay. And if you do not provide facts for your actions they are no more than that. If you do not like the way the sheriff is doing his job that is one thing and you can talk to whomever you wish. Run against him next election, attend community service meetings, write letters to the editor of the Fannin paper. But, if you want to bring up charges that amount to a criminal offense than running off at the mouth in some no-name forum is certainly not going to get you any points. You must first get together what is fact and what you have been told as fact. You can only work with hard facts. If it will not stand up in court than forget it. If Bill Jones is running all wrecker calls and you do not have a wrecker or are on the rotation list than shut up and let the guys that it affects speak up. Preferably in a county commission meeting. Not everybody is going to like the sheriff, if you get rid of Kirby and elect someone tomorrow afternoon guess what, the stories do not change, just the names. Anybody in authority, sheriff, county commissioner, tax collector or whatever, that does their job is going to be talked bad about. You can go to any street corner and start talking bad about the sheriff and every second person that walks up will agree with you and those same people most likely will have no idea what you are talking about but they will certainly agree with you.
