1 Amen. I have no desire to see the store open in Blairsville. Wait until the traffic picks up in town as people head for WalMart and people start complaining about that. You can always tell a WalMart shopper by looking at them. |

Don't think anyone is trying to be "mean" intentionally. Just sarcastic. I'll apologize for them. Sorry. |

1 Change is O.K. And Walmart opening is going to help everyone including more jobs for everyone that is getting layed off. And so far the opening date has been moved up to some time in August. |

1 These people that sound so mean are the people that are afraid of change or just can't deal with it very well. They are set in there ways and don't want anything new even if it is better for everyone. They'll get over it. Cause it's opening in August. |

1 WalMart coming to a small southern town is called "change." No. It is more of the same. Jobs? Minimum wage, part-time employment w/o benefits isn't going to help the community of unemployed truck drivers, construction workers and other laborers who are without work. What will change is small businesses will be laying off more help or going out of business. Look at what happened in Murphy when WalMart opened. |

1 At least minimum wage part time is better than sitting around drinking beer living off unemployment. Have some self respect! |

1 WHen I saw Lamar last week he said they are trying to open in July. He was getting final permits and working with DOT. I know how you feel about driving west and north to get to another walmart. I cannot wait until this one opens. |

ITZA WALMART PEOPLE. IT CATERS TO THE LOWEST CLASS OF CONSUMER - THOSE WHO ARE BROKE BUT STILL DON'T CARE WHETHER WHAT THEY BUY WILL LAST. THEY PICKED A FINE LOCATION.

I'll stand by my "August 12, give or take a few days." Please note "... give or take a FEW days." Opening in July is not a "few days." |
