You need a cart. Obviously, you arent a realtor that knows anything about this course or golf.

Come on, if you can walk 18 at Butternut, then you're in plenty good shape to walk Old Union.

THIS! Golfers have gotten lazy with golf carts. If you're rich you can get a caddy to carry the clubs for you. But it doesn't excuse not walking the course.

If you can't walk 18 holes of golf then you don't need to be on the golf course except for sitting at the club refreshment stand waiting for the real golfers to finish.

Thank You! Golfers that have toured this course compare it to courses they have played on in England. It is spectacular and a huge asset to this community, a true proffessional challenging course. The practice facility is awesome and for those that golf you will understand once you get out there and play. Union County will be proud to have Old Union Golf Course located here!

Didn't say the county shouldn't be proud or anything contrary to the course. This is one top notch facility and will surprise so many people. It is however, a long course and to help with the pace of play, most golfers should use a cart.

It is in fact a long course but more power to the patrons who want to go out and get a little exercise especially the senior guys. The pace of play will not be affected if the walkers have been around the game a while and a little courtesy and will simply let the faster players play through. And oh by the way, check out the guys who actually play competitive golf... are they on carts?
Bottom line = just personal preference

Use a lighter golf bag and only take the clubs you need. If you can't walk the entire four miles, then either play nine or stay home.

Old Union Golf Club Is A Prestige Scottish Links Play Course It Is Very Welcoming And Flat Laying Course In Or Out Of Shape This Course Plays Well With All Ages And Size Walkers. Dennis I Believe Designed His Best Course Yet I Think It Is A Blessing In Disguise That He Had To Purchase This Course, Maybe We Are Looking At His Signature Course :) Besides All Of That This Is An Amazing Course To See,Play,or Even To Get That Morning Exercise Walk. IT IS A MUST SEE

Why should anyone care or judge whether a golfer walks or uses a cart? Next thing you'll say is that someone who has a 10+ handicap shouldn't play the course.

And now your over here using my name, cussing people for no reason. Other posts are saying you are Norman Cooper, and you are doing this to discredit me. I thought you were a better writer than that.

The post before this one is not me, the real chuckles. It is a fake Chuckles trying to use my name to slam Norman, which is a shame.

So, fake Chuckles, quit using my post name, get your own name, and quit bashing Norman. People on this forum are tired of the bashing.

Come on Norman, we know it's you. You've been mad since I told the story about the Jimmy Nicholson bridge.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Taurus

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
