I say that because it sounds like Mr. Kear drove out there armed looking for trouble. He had other ways to get to his land and could have backed up and went around. Mr. Johnson was shredding HIS OWN land, UNARMED.

Yes sir I did & I truly believe he was threatened and was defending his own life. He is not a violent person and never has had a history of violence. Not so with Mr. Johonson.

Was this "history of violence" something that happened recently? Or was this a single fist fight or something that happened years and years ago? Small town scoop, gossip, anything like that play a part? Just curious. Seems like the jury should go on what happened the day of the murder.

I think you must take into account someone's past behavior. That shows what kind of person they are. A person with a short temper is a lot different from a timid person. Of course, I'm not saying that having a short temper makes you automatically guilty either. You can't just look at one day in particular.

Well, it was a hung jury. Mr. Kear had many character witnesses but not so for Mr. J.

Norman Johnson's son held the elderly man down, while his father, Norman Johnson beat the man with a hammer. This has been within the last 5 years. What a fine example for a father to teach his son. NOT !!!!

Sounds like a real fine man who could would NOT threaten Mr. Kear or be a threat to his well being.....NOT!!! Did the man live? He should have testified at the trial if he is still alive.

What about the man that Mr. Johnson beat up so badly-the one his son held down? How badly was the elderly man hurt and what was the reason for the beating?

I had heard that but did not want to believe it...Now I hear it again about M. Taylor. What a shame. It looks like it gave him a license to continue to be a threat to people only this time someone took care of the "Threat".

Get your facts straight. It was 13 years ago, the elderly man (who was actually only 1 year older than Mr. Johnson at the time) called and threatened to kill Mr. Johnson's wife and asked him to come over if he wanted to take care of business. The elderly man, the one with the hammer....tried to hit Mr. Johnson with the hammer and Mr. Johnson took it away from him. His son was not involved.
Where is your information coming from? The barber shop?

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
