As a 5th generation resident of Geneva, even I did not know about the sunken logs.
There is a wonderful, rich history associated with Central Florida and I want to thank Karen Phillips for helping tell some of this history.
Since the large majority of Florida's population consists of people who grew up elsewhere and don't have the roots and ties to Central Florida's history, stories like this help people become acculturated to their new home.

Love the article. Did not realize that this craftmanship existed here in Geneva.

The world is a better place because of people like these rescuing, preserving, and perhaps resurrecting history. Thank you, also, to Karen for telling this story to all of Central Florida.

I wanted to give it 5 stars but the "highly recommended" star wouldn't color in for some reason.
Great story. Highly readable and informative. Made me want to read on.....and then to be sad that it was over. Please have her do more articles for the Sentinel. Thanks.

Great Article, very well written. I live in Geneva and was unaware that they were doing this. There is so much heritage all around. We need more stories like this.

I really enjoyed this article as written by Karen. It is very refreashing to read a story about "small town" businesses that are not only providing a service, but are environmentally minded as well.
It is great to know that there are still people so passionate about their crafts/skills.
I look forward to reading more articles by Karen....

I loved the writing style of McEnany-Phillips. Wood may not seem like an interesting subject to many people, But McEnany-Phillips makes it interesting.

It has been a continual problem when looking up articles on your web site that the photos do not come in as well. Don't know if there was some reason for that but many times, the photos are an important part. In many cases, it does not help to send it to a friend if they can not see the pictures too. Is there any way you can include the photos?
