i am one. just b/c i believe in the basics of what the GOP is supposed to stand for has nothing to do with my sex orientation, rather lower taxes, smaller gov't, more economic freedom. this religious right is just one part of the party that has only recently asserted such socially conservative influence on the party.

i was going to change my party affiliation b/c of it, but then realized that to get it back on track i must be part of it. that way i can vote on the better candidates. Look at the latest presidential candidates. Guiliani doesn't care one way or another about gays, it's not a politcal issue. Romney didn't USED to make a stance until he probably decided he would attached the religious supporters.

tell me, what have the dems done for gays (beyond rhetoric to win votes)? i'm sure you don't remember that your hero Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act.
