The VA and whatever administration in office plays
God and Politics with US Veterans. Again – More Lives Lost!

US veterans who served in Vietnam and during the Vietnam Era as well as in previous wars were again punished for voting for the former Presidential candidate, Senator John McCain, by the US Secretary of the Veterans Administration, Eric K. Shinseki, an Obama appointee.

The VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 went into effect on May 15, 2012. Secretary Shinseki advised Congress when the bill was in the discussion stages and urged the President to sign it when passed by Congress. The VOW Act was intended to help veterans increase employment opportunities on the surface. Underneath, the VOW Act was a blatant attempt by the Obama Administration to buy veterans’ votes for the upcoming elections. The problem is – the VOW Act excluded all US veterans age 60 and over from this VA program to help decrease veteran unemployment.

The math is clear. The Vietnam Era Conflict officially ran from August 5, 1964, to May 7, 1975. Direct US involvement in the Vietnam War ended on March 29, 1973. The birth years for those US veterans who served directly in Vietnam spanned from 1946 to 1954. Those US veterans excluded by year of birth from the VOW Act spanned birth years from 1946 to 1952. In fact, the VOW Act serves only the last two birth years out of the total span of nine years of all veterans who served in Vietnam.

Again, the Vietnam and Vietnam Era vets carry the shame of the nation, the disdain of our leaders and Veterans Administration, and the betrayal of our government. Welcome home Vets.
