I commend you for that historical overview. But, the use of Hispanic in our country is utilized to profile people. It assists the government in analyzing racial status quos in our country. And it was implemented as early as the 70"s. Its use was widely used in schools to determine the influx of immigrants into the U.S. Whereas the etymology of the term Hispanic is deritive from Spain. We unfortunately in our country utilize it for different reasons. As for these lost souls whether their affiliation is with gangs or they are gang members... I wish that someone in our community of Hispanic descent can reach out to our children. To give them hope... racism is so prevelant in our communities, within our schools, employment and unfortunately the hispanics are now the ones at the bottom of the totem pole in Florida. I do not see any busts on white gangs.. like the KKK and they have been around forever.. or the Arayian Nation... how about the Bloods and the black affiliated gang bangers.. why has'nt we busted those gangs as well..... GO FIGURE.
