That's interesting that the LPD did anything!!! I'm so shocked! I live in Livermore in spite of the fact that this site shows me, for some reason, as living in Berkely. I witnessed solicitation across the street from my house and phoned it into the LPD and they didn't even responed! How can there be such a dichotomy?

OH! As I read more closely, I see that Pleasanton PD was responsible for the sting. Yes, that makes much more sense, they have a fantastic department!

LPD performs prostitution stings... and much more frequently than PPD or DPS.

One must remember that your call is not the only one. Officers do respond but sometimes the person is already gone. Higher priority calls take precedence.

I think prostitution should be made legal,it does not make any sence to arrest girls for simply walking up or down the street. F*@k the police. they never do there jobs right anyway.

I was arrested for prostitution in Fremont on December 6, 2005. I live in San Francisco and had never seen clients in Fremont before, but I came down because I was set up on Craigslist by Fremont cops posing as clients. Besides these two female cops, who had been drinking in the room of the Best Western Garden Court Inn, they had 5 additional male cops and a police dog come in to make the arrest. I was held overnight at Fremont City Jail and then transferred to Santa Rita where I spent all the next day, only to give me a citation to appear the next month, which they could have given me at the time of arrest rather than jailing me. The 24 hours in jail just amounted to extra-judicial punishment of someone who has not been convicted of any crime. This case is scheduled to go to trial this Sept. 24 at the Fremont Municipal Court on Paseo Padre Parkway, unless continued. If you live in Fremont, please call your city representatives and let them know you find this use of police resources outrageous. Shortly after I was arrested for doing nothing that harmed anyone, "Between the last week of December 2005 and the second week of January 2006, three separate homicides occurred in Fremont" (Mission San Jose High School newspaper, 2/6/06). Maybe if the police had been focused on real crime, those killings could have been prevented.

Star, go be a prostitute at the Bunny Ranch way out in the middle of the desert where it is legal. Don't come into a city like Fremont to do this.
