Because you've helped make it worse. Here’s what I mean:

On TV a bit ago, I saw NBC interviewing a jobless couple whose house was in foreclosure. On the driveway was their Nissan. I shouted,“Hey, Guys, a couple in Japan are bowing at you in gratitude for their jobs.”

Ugh! Jobless Americans driving foreign cars.....helping put even more Americans out of work!

So, I have to tell myself: The Japanese, in particular, have been seducing us for years. They give their vehicles American-sounding names. And our media give them billions in free advertising. And they flood us with seductive ads. So, no wonder we get sucked in.

Now as to quality, check out the March ‘09 J.D. Power report: For reliability, Buick is No. 1, and Lincoln & Mercury are in top 5. Today, differences between Japanese and American, exist only in persons' minds influenced by media who tout Japanese cars. Most media are BIASED for them.

Yes, most promote Japanese cars FOR FREE and indirectly pan American makes. And Japanese dealers use this to sell:“Consumer Reports says, Edmunds says,” et cetera. What a leg up this gives them. And it costs them nothing!

Add to that Japanese dealers pitch,“Don’t forget, we give America jobs. We build our cars here and hire Americans to build them.”

Yes, they do assemble SOME vehicles here. And this makes people think,“Hey, they’re built here. They’re American.”

That belief, sells millions of their cars. However, THE MAJORITY sold here come from Japan by boat.

But no matter where a car is assembled or its parts come from, what counts most is where the profit on it ends up. REALITY: every year Japanese parent-corporations in Japan reap BILLIONS from vehicles sold in America. Yes, 31% of their income comes from the U.S.(See Google) And these billions benefit Japan, NOT America!

We’re Japan’s cash cow! This, despite almost 50 million here with no health care, 37 million in poverty, 12 million kids hungry each day, 77,000 bridges close to collapse, highways crumbling, inner-city schools deteriorating, and unemployment 9% and climbing. Michigan’s is almost 13%!

Yes, we feed Japan! In return, can we sell cars there? In ‘08 they imported a puny 10,000. But they sold us 3 MILLION!!! Fair exchange?

They’ve even refused to buy apples from us. They’re fiercely loyal to their own products. In effect, they close their market to us. But they FEAST on America!

Now the South Koreans are also screwing us but to a much lesser extent. Every year they sell us 800,000 cars but buy only 6,000 from us.

At least the Germans, who build and sell cars here, buy lots of ours. So do the French, Spanish, Italians, British, Chinese, and Latin Americans. They like our cars. Yes, we profitably build and sell cars almost everywhere but in Japan and South Korea.

Anyway, it’s estimated from our “FOREIGN-CAR-I-TIS,” we’ve already lost a million jobs. And if we continue not smelling the manure, and our makers lose more market, estimates say up to 3 million more of our jobs will be lost. And some predict with trickle-down it could be more like 4 million.

Now the Japanese and South Koreans give us about 375,000 jobs to sell their vehicles and do some assembling. And if like estimated this costs us 3-4 million jobs...ugh!!!!!

And now that Chrysler is in bankruptcy, and GM headed there, the Japanese and Koreans are like circling vultures waiting for something to die. Shall we just let them take over the American industry we invented 100 years ago?

NO! NO! NO! A new, stronger GM and Chrysler will emerge, in essence owned by Uncle Sam. And Ford is solid! Last month the company outsold Toyota! Maybe we’re starting to wake up.

Yes, hopefully, we’re realizing that now more than ever we need to support our own companies. MILLIONS OF OUR JOBS ARE AT RISK.

Support America’s economy! BUY OR LEASE AMERICAN!

P.S. Please pass this message on to as many people as you can!

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Aries

The prospect of travel really appeals to you today, especially if you don't have any holidays booked for the foreseeable future. So be careful if you're out shopping and you happen to walk past a travel agent's, because almost before you know it you could be sitting in there waving your credit card around and consulting your diary for the best day to take off for the wide blue yonder.
