Help Rid Topix of Gossipers

Over the last 2 days, I have reported all of the posts that I come across that list a person by fist and last name, and the Topix folks are removing either the entire thread or at least the specific post within the a thread.

Help me out people. Let's get Topix back on track for what it can be - a place for our community to come together to discuss important topics, share ideas, etc.

It's easy to report a post, and it only takes me about 15 seconds. Just click on the "Report Abuse" link between the "Judge It" and "Reply" links at the top of each post.

I'm doing my part. Will you?

there is one way to completely do this. GET RID OF T OPIX ALL TOGETHER! problem solved because the gossiping will never stop as long as its here

Actually, I haven't known a single person of the posts that I've had removed. It's just the right thing to do.

Thank you Good Citizen. I have reported many as well. Like you I do not always know the people nor have I ever been mentioned but it is wrong nontheless.

big difference between water cooler gossip, texting juicy tidbits, and facebook drama(something easily removed and bannable for) and posting lies in print on a public site for all eternity where great great grandchildren can google granny and see some horrible dirtbag spread rumors and outright lies about her gangbanging classmates or having horrible diseases because she wouldn't talk to the scabfaced geek or the lowlife shallow souled halfwit who put horrible lies on about the other girls who wouldn't give him the time of day either, or the jealous ramblings of grown men and women who think its their job to casually destroy lives because someone ELSE actually had one and it didn't fit their ideal. Also, just because something is easy to do doesn't mean its right or good, nor is the internet just going to sit and swelter in its uabashed glory forever just so the mindless dregs of society can use it to do the above or swindle people in scams, more and more regulation and a more effective tracking and tracing of it are coming(thanks exclusively to people who abuse it for those puposes). Publishing lies and personal information that belongs to others isn't just actionable in civil court, its a CRIME, punishable with fines, probation, civil service, AND PRISON. So, the next time someone wants to violate someones privacy in such an extremely public way, they should consider that doing it often and doing it severely enough could land them in a federal prison, because violating civil liberties goes to federal court. DUH, welcome to AMERICA, where, thank god, we have the well written right to privacy and judges to uphold it. Don't pee in the parking garage on the south side of the landing either, more federal jurisdiction.

I have a prediction to make; in the future, when a persons right to know who posts anything at all about them in public media is recognized and that information made readily available to them, we won't see suicides over vicious online rumors and bullying, we will see HOMicides, and thank god for that. Why is everyone so ticked off at Good Citizen? Are you all that bored with your life that you are so disappointed that someone is taking efforts to do a nice thing for others? It doesn't sound like it's about censoring information, it's about protecting fellow community members from trash talk and what might even be outright lies.

Citizen hasn't name called or bashed any of you haters that post the gossip. Sounds like they are trying to do what they believe to be a good thing. So what?

Okay so get them to remove the post about David Mueller you big saint and where were you two weeks ago when my son and myself were bing roasted on here by first and last name? HUMMMM or is it just your pet causes like Darrell Jones and Hope Church?

Preach on ! tell it like it is. You do not have to do a dam thing to get your name on topix I know. All you have to do is have someone get ticked off at you or at one of your friends or a family member of yours and it is game on baby. So wise up or give us your name and we will have a little fun.

dave starts his own threads and openly endorses illegal and usafe practices to any and all, right here. People call him crazy, he is, he admits he made himself that way. He's made himself a very public figure through online videos and commentary, he's removed his own protections, and nobodys said very much that isn't proveable in his own youtube videos. Most of the threads removed concern children and private individuals who DON'T broadcast their actions. Politicians are public figures too, talk about them all you want. Lie though, and you're way more likely to end up financing their next campaign. Karma is a bitch for bitches.

Sure did notice how protective you are of Hope Christian Church. You wouldn't think that a Church would feel such a need to hide.
