A family member of my girlfriend would go "out scrapping" and supposedly would go out in one day and make as much as I would in two weeks. He was otherwise a "stay at home dad". He enjoys dumpster diving, and he gets good money for it. He now works at the old Bethlehem Steel where they're basically scrapping iron and steel, and anything else there apparently is fare game. He left there the other day with a 500 pound piece of copper worth over $700 in scrap. We had to get it out of the back of his pick-up with a pulley. Keep your eyes on your metal folks! Look at all the jewelry stores: they are now buying back scrap gold because the price is so high!!!
