I used to spend three and a half hours a day commuting from Eastern Queens to Far Rockaway. That was ridiculous because it was the same borough! The worst time was when there was snow on the ground or bitterly cold standing there waiting for substandard transportation. I lasted 20 months, then found a job in Nassau 6 miles from my home.
