Review: Richard D Lively Law Office

What was the problem with him? I have heard some things as well.

There is nothing wrong with Richard Lively. People say things like that when things dont go their way.

I am very disappointed in Richard Lively. I went to him in June, paid in full for an uncontested divorce. I called NUMEROUS times in which he would not return my calls, just to ask the date in which he filed for me so I could keep up with it. I called Autauga county circuit court on Aug. 21 at 9 AM with them telling me there was nothing filed!! After finally leaving a very stern meassage, he called and was very rude and condesending with me, saying that it had been filed. Later that day a gentlemen that is over the circuit court returned my call informing me that Mr. Lively filed my divorce at 11 am that same day, about an hour or so after he so rudely lied to me!!!!!! This has been very unprofessional and upsetting!! Wish I would have heard all the negative things about him that has been told to me in the last 2 days way before now!!!

It's always nice to have ANONYMOUS negative posts written about you. I wish I could make everyone happy, but that's the nature of the legal business. In 14 1/2 years of practice, I am sure that I have made people mad and disappointed others. I'm only human and subject to the failings of all men. But, I do the best I can and sometimes my best just isn't good enough. I know I'm not perfect, but I try to be. It sounds like I did get that person divorced, though. So the journey may not have been what they wanted, but it sounds like we got to the final destination. :-)

It dosent feel that great to have your character attacked publicly does it. Do you realize thats what you do when you go to court and instead of defending the actions of your client and showing why they are innocent, you attack the character and credibility of the officers that arrested them? It's not a very nice feeling to try to do the right thing and help people, only to have someone say horrible things about you is it. The reasons you gave for why someone may be unhappy with your services are the very same reasons that someone might not like the police. Maybe you should think about that the next time you appear in court.
