This is pure BS. If 70% of the smoke was in the house you would be gassed out and the fire dept. would be on the way.
Three or four houses may be "in reach" of the smoke but the smoke goes UP in doesn't blow onto the next house now does it.

I don't get it. Our schools install NFL-quality fields, night lights, new buildings, and even plan to replace palm trees with oak trees.

Seniors are not exempt from bonds they are only exempt from parcel taxes. Most schools in Marin are over 50 years old and are in desperate need of renovation and seismic upgrades. Where you live the high school is beautiful but the elementary schools need help.

How do you know Bruce Ramsey that wood smoke caused your friend's cancer? Prove it! And he was ALWAYS downwind of the smoke—the wind never shifted? Diet, lack of exercise, genes, alcohol etc etc —could any of these been factors?
Why not become a more critical thinker before you open your pie hole. You sound like a Lynn Woolsey supporter. |

Maybe, but as many people have pointed out on these boards, they get a de facto "bond measure" exemption since Prop 13 keeps their assessed value artificially low. |
