Freedom of speech only goes so far. I would think that a parent would frown on sending their child to school wearing something like that. I would it if were my child. It could just have easily have advocated killing any other group of people. Allow one, you'll have to allow them all.

Freedom Of Speach is one thing..... Following the rules after receiving a warning in another. Example: A student would not be allowed to wear a t-shirt in school that had a pictiure of a KKK rally hanging someone nor wood a student be allowed to wear a t-shirt with a large pot weed silkscrrened on it. You are in school, have some respect and shame on the parents for suggesting to their son that this is alright.

Frees the court system, parents know where they stand and students know what they can and cannot wear. Honestly it doesn't kill them either. It is the biggest money saver too. I know as all 5 of my children had to wear uniforms and there were no problems. They may not have liked it but they knew it was required. No problems for parents either. It is discipline and they learn what to wear what is appropriate for a function, whether it be to school or to go out looking for a job. Is this what you would wear going on an interview?? This is school, a learning place for a student's future.

Do you mean this? "There is no constitutionally protected political message contained in Donald's shirt but there is a message of use of force, violence and violation of law in the form of illegal vigilante behavior," Gardner wrote. This doesn't tell me what the shirt says just the schools interpretation Would you like to add something to the discussion or just to my posts? Thank you for being a loyal fan hombre wrote: Hey Fatboy2 are you smart enough to click on the button 'full story' and read just exactly what was on the shirt or did you just want to get your " uninformed two cents" in.

Oh hear I missed it "United States Terrorist Hunting Permit No Bag Limit." Thanks again for reading and posting nothing about the article. What is wrong with hunting terrorists? Hasn't our country been doing that for years? hombre wrote: Hey Fatboy2 are you smart enough to click on the button 'full story' and read just exactly what was on the shirt or did you just want to get your " uninformed two cents" in.

Anyone who feels treatened by a t shirt has serious issues. A shirt cannot kill someone. There are schizophrenics who are on medication because they feel threatened by objects, yet when we do it to a teen in school we are suddenly smart....0 brownie points for the human psyche.

And then you'll have kids who are getting in trouble for wearing jewelry with sayings on them, hiking up their skirts, wearing their pants too tight, wearinmg their heair a certain way.....uniforms don't solve a problem, clothing cannot hurt someone else, people do. I attended both a Catholic school & a public school, no difference in the behavior between one school where we wore uniforms and the other where they didn't.

This is school, a learning place for a student's future. I completely agree with you on a uniform policy. I live in a public school district that has a uniform dress code, and I couldn't be happier. It prevents incidents like this with a kid wearing a shirt with guns, or having the girls wearing inappropriate shirts. there is a place and time for kids to wear tshirts with guns, or obscene sayings, and school is not one of them. Parents should have had more common sense!

How do you know that the kid with the gun tshirt isn't going to lash out in some way similar to using a gun? If your child was in that school where this boy attends and he acted out, you would be the first person wanting answers from the district as to why they didn't do something about it. You may think uniforms are a bad idea, it prevents the competition between kids as to who is wearing the most expensive shoes, or has the most fashionable tshirt from the expensive store at the mall. I went to catholic school and public school when I was younger, and I have to tell you that the uniforms were the best idea.
