An emotional Schmenk had to pause several times during the presentation to compose herself. "Personnel are one of our greatest resources," she said. "Each position that goes unfilled represents services that will not be provided in the city."
Suck it up lady! "Personnel" is probably the cities biggest problem. I'm dead tired of hearing stories of the theft of city bought resources, the use of city equipment on personal projects or side work, and the daily drug use by city employees. Some of these people are hard working upstanding citizens, but you have a big bunch of them that are living on the government tit, because the powers that be in this city have failed to open their eyes to what is really going on with them. Get your house in order or get the hell out of the governing business.

The increase was advertised to update an improve our Police and Fire Depts. I didnt know about all this other stuff that was so dependent on the 1/2 % increase. Or is this just one of the tricks they learned from the schools an there need for levies. Makes me wonder. MAybe if they stopped haveing all these studies done they ignore there would be plenty of money.

If personnel is truly the greatest resource we have then why doesn't everyone take a pay cut so the positions may be kept. A small percentage lost by everyone is better than 100 percent lost by a few. We did this at Honda. Surely the city of Marysville could as well.

When is Ms. Mayor outta here? This increase was only supposed to be for a new firehouse, firefighters and police. Stop your threats! Let the snow pile up, I'll be sure to drive by your house, I bet your street will be plowed.

Marysville should fill their public pool with water from The City of Dublin, and save 70 percent of cost.

For Sale:$4,000,000, 90 acres of land to build Hospital'z-N-Stuff. 1 minute to Scotts !
