"A call to Gregory Paglianite, Fimiano's attorney, was not returned today."
This is one of the attorneys that works or did work in John Karoly's office.......... Kinda interesting, once again a cop story |

Here we go with the Cop bashing again. If the facts in this story are correct, this Cop would fall in the 1% of bad eggs. He is no longer a Cop nor should he be if this article is factual. There are thousands of articles on this website a year regarding people being arrested and 1% happen to involve Cops that went bad. So before you Cop bash, think about what you are bashing.

I know! I am so sick and tired of people on here complaining about the police when one of them does something bad! Like any other profession, there are good and there are bad! I think that everyone who complains should ride along with a cop for 1 week and see if they could handle it! H*ll, most of us on here could be considered bad employees! We are on the internet reading and commenting every day! |

"proves that the local cops are out of control examples slatington and walnutport"

Exactly. |

Grow up people, one bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch, we are human like all of you. I agree some should not become cops but it's hard to weed out the bad ones until this happens. 99.9% of us out there are looking out for you're welfare, every day, 24/7!! Don't judge us all on one bad apple. I hope he gets the help he needs.

"Roscioli ordered prosecutors to review his application to the state's Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program and chastised the county probation department for a "failure... to disclose" Fimiano's past."
I don't care if he is a cop or not. Yes they should know the law but they are human just like the rest of us and we can all make mistakes or have bad days. What bothers me is the appearance that the prosecutors and the county probation department are trying to slide someone "around" the system. |

um, no, if you WANT to be a police officer, you KNOW going into it that you are accountable for your actions. i don't expect anything less from them. and i TOTALLY appreciate the job they do. but do this kind of junk? you WILL, and SHOULD be bashed. |

a drunken woman beating police officer, sounds like a fine upstanding citizen to me

And since you can't even spell "hiring", we'll assume you couldn't get past the written exam, let alone the psych or polygraph. POS |

It just goes to show if you work for the system, you are protected by the system.
It's like one big happy family. |

Not in the Lehigh Valley. I have kept track of the number of arrest od law enforcement in the Lehigh Valley, it is over 30 officers in the past 3 years. Quite distrubing. Even more disturbing is that Northampton County pre-trial services attempted to push this through as ARD. I am very glad this was caught by the judge and she denied it. Unless she caught it herself or an ADA brought it to her attention, it seems like the DA (who's office supposedly agrees to these) is dropping the ball or attempting to circumvent people like this office through. If I were a judge, I would order an audit of all police officer arrested in the past 5 years and see what percentage were processed for ARD via pre-trial services who had prior convictions. This is not supposed to happen, but it seems like they are "unilaterally" attempting to pull a "fast one" on the judge. This will now prevent this police offer from getting hired anywhere else in the state. |

Maybe this guy can share a cell with the Freemansburg cop who got arrested for drunk driving too. They think they are above the law.
|

You have your percentages wrong, its more like 20% and the 80% that are left are somewhere in the middle of good and bad. In my day when you complained the cops would just take you out back and beat the crap out of you. Finally the people, press and judges are responding. |

The assulted girl may not have too much credibility. She's called Psycho by many people who know her. I'm not saying this incident didn't happen, I'm saying that it seems some people are judging too quickly and alot of the reason is because this man was a cop. Lets just be fair.

this guy is a punk and should spend time in jail
|

You need to reverse your percentage, in New Haven, CT the city had to close the the entire narc team because there wasn't a cop that could be trusted, in Madison, CT the nightshift boys in blue were bringing hookers back to headquarters for some R&R. Who are you kidding, you should be held to a higher standard, instead you get a badge and you think are God. |
