The tea parties were just the beginning. When government employees retire at an early age, courtesy of the taxpayers in the private sector who will not be able to retire at all, it will be hitting the fan.
For you retiring government employees: don't send your working private sector friends postcards from Paris, and don't show up at their homes in the early spring with a tan from your winter in Florida. They may not be your friends for long. Greedy politicians have been playing with these government pension funds for their own benefit for years, overpromising benefits, and underfunding them for political advantage, while corrupt administrators have been investing for political correctness, as well as personal gain. The taxpayers will be called upon to guarantee the benefits with higher taxes. The reaction may make the tea parties look like....well....tea parties by comparison. |
